Sam could take "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and make a masterpiece out of it. Coral Gables Presbyterian Church will never be the same without him, and of course, little Diane Bish. Come to think of it - whatever happened to that church? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
Excellent, of course, but for me, I would *ditch* the brass, strings and tympani. It's entirely unnecessary and a distraction, though I suppose it might be justified in that it involves other people.
I think it sounds great! Those people playing those other instruments are using their talents for the Lord. I wish we had something like that at the church I play the organ at.
Using this brilliant arrangement of Samuel's this Easter, 4/4/21, at Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. Praising God for this glorious arrangement.
It is admirable that you can actually HEAR the congregation singing over all the instrumentation!!
The most glorious instrument is the human voice when God sings through our hearts!
One of my all time favorite hymns and Mr. Metzger makes it that much more beautiful
Jesus is worthy to be crowned by the worth be cause He is sacrifices and redeems us from the sins.
Thank you and God bless, from Sri Lanka
I crown Him my Lord and King
a foretaste of heaven
Awesome arrangement, Samuel! Echoing Eric, I love how you bring the hymn back after the reading.
Praise be to GOD.
Musicians like Metzger come along few and far between. Coral Ridge, so sad.
What church is this? First Orlando?

You make a Merrie Noise, but oh I would like to hear the words of your hymns. With love to you from London England.

there just may be Trumpet blasts when you approach Heaven - fair warning.
Those instruments fill out the magnificence of that sound!
