Best of luck to you two as you move on to new adventures. The FPBs are fantastic, so it's a shame to see their production stop, but, who knows, maybe someone else will pick up where you left off. Enjoy your well earned time off. Hope you and Cochise find some new wonders out there to behold. Maybe consider sharing them in a vlog. Fair winds!

I am wondering if you have had issues with the thrust bearing units connecting to the prop shafts? Do you have Powertrain 150 thrust bearing flex mounts attached to universal joints to the gearbox? Are they overheating and how did you solve this?

Whats a broken plate or two in the grand scheme. Pretty sure most boats would have swapped ends. Good to have the power when you need it. Most dont know what days of pounding can do to a boat thats not up to it.

I noted @ 4.40 the roll indicated 30.1°, which is fairly alarming for a vessel as capable as Cochise. I wonder what fate would await lesser craft?

The helm station is really quiet and she handles really well.

All their boats are amazing. He claims to be a great engineer in search of the ultimate cruising yacht but I think they just sprinkle magic pixie dust on the aluminium. lol
Seriously though, if you haven't already, check them out at setsail.com
They build some really cool, very capable & efficient boats. I wish I could afford one.

Enough of the plotter. The boat looks to doing well.

60% staring at the plotter display, 30% staring at the foredeck, 10% looking at what we wanted to look at???

I have to say I'm not sure how I would go in seas as rough as that.. but then we can only find out....

Sounds like someone should have put the dishes away and not left them in the sink, My old skipper would of been right on our case

Couldn't see much ocean action because the computer was in the way, so, have to take your
word for it that the wave action was severe. Did hear a lot of ambient chit chat.

I kept trying to tilt my head back so i could see out the bloody window! Sorry, 8 minutes of staring at your display is just too much for me.

Until the stanchions are in the water, the bow is occasionally buried and there are waves breaking over the decks it's a good day sailing. Dont come to the GReat Lakes on a late summer afternoon because this weather is SOP on Erie, Huron and Superior.
