Hello! So my project is so far that I finished building a car rotisserie for my Audi project. In this video, I convert fwd Audi 80 to Quattro. Progress is interesting to see how the car is made in a factory to have all needed bolt places under body protection and you need only to find them. You need to know that it so only Audi 80 b4-s what are made before June 1993.

Really inspiring. Underbody work with the rotator makes it look so easy. Only lying under and worked most on ground with my cars. Keep up the progress will follow the whole process. Best reg from Norway

I'm a mechanic, I've restored a few cars and repaired too many over the last 35 years, great video I appreciate the work that you did, out of interest how long altogether from stripping the car to when it was finished did it take, I'd say 2 to 3 weeks going well at it..

I have this late 91. I dont have even abs system what i like the most. It feels like real race car. 😃

Very informative video so I have a B2 1986 Audi Coupe GT Commemorative Edition that I plan on converting it to the Urquattro meanwhile I plan to convert my B4 1996 Audi Cabriolet 2.8 V6 to an S2. I have a few more other cars like a UrS4, and three B3 90 Coupe Quattros with the 20v turbo. Eager to see your results & learn from you! Keep up thr good work!

I was told that the conversion is possible only in the avant body type. Glad to see it perfectly fits in the sedan. Nice job.
I have my "95 avant and all the spare parts for quattro conversion. But your comments about "93 July mark makes me a little bit worried 🤔
I dont want to scare you, but my friend has also 95 avant and he dont have threads and strengthening plates in subframes. He had only empty holes.
He did open subframe from interior side and welds thease plates in the subframe. A lit work :(

Hi! They were for sale in Audi tradition. But after this video release they are out of stock right now. Side plates are for sale but middle one out of stock. A lit started to building quattros i think 😃
How and where did you get the parts for it, just looking at how much it would cost to convert a B4 body to quattro.
I did have damaged quattro body. After my video realease all the body panels are sold out in audi traction page.

In coupe its not possible like that.
You need to change all trunk metal parts and then you can install quattro axles.
In coupe you have b3 quattro rear axle system.
Its different.

From quattro body that had crashed. Also for sale in audi traction but they are out of stock i did look.

Yo need to look uner the car, do you have threads under stone protection. If yes then its easy.
Hey mate, I got Audi 80 B3 year 1991 2.0 Sport Edition. Any thoughts is it possible to do AWD?
With b3 you need to change complete rear floor. I think its too much work there. Easyer to buy quattro when you have b3.

A really nice video, do you perhaps know how to get the diff lock to work then? as the stock quattro has the button next to the handbrake
Thanks! Its easy, i have all diff lock wiring, button. Only need to connect. ;)
But im not sure that i use this diff with lock. This car dont drive in winter so its nat useful.

you had thread in the body? i just had a hole udnder the protection and too i dont hawe mounting for quattro exhaust and i think 2 holders for fuel tank

1992 one did not have threads?
I did have all threads from factory.

After i saw this vid I was a bit worried because my b4 is from 95 so, according to what you said, the threads for the rear axle might not be there. Today i finished stripping down the body and i could take a look where the rear axle should fit. I found the protective tape and under it it’s just a hole :( . So i want to ask you, in your opinion could i fabricate some 8mm thick flanges and weld a nut on it then place it inside the body frame?

80s fwd and Quattro 80 has the same fueltank? or are the different? thanks!
quattro fuel tank is different than fwd fuel tank to allow room for rear subframe and differential etc
I have a 1991 Audi 80 b4. If I understood correctly the only thing I need to weld into the body is the rear diff mount right?
Yes, you need to weld rear diff front mount to your car.
And drive shaft bearing holder.

Hello great project. I myself was thinking about something like that. I have 80 b4 94. Everyone says it can't be done. tell me if in 94 fwd it looks like yours?
In 94 its possible but a lot more work and some custom brackets need to be done. :)

They are from b4 quattro, but b5 has same rear suspension. And will fit also. 🙂

Hi! Yes, its from factory there. :)
Sedan and avant b4-s what have made before 06/1993 should have them. Later models have holes but not threads in them.

You can check it out when you take car on lift and look do you have threads in holes where rear axle mounts.
