36:50 is the reason why I make my Goodreads goal something I’m 100% sure I can do because if I was ever behind I would be so stressed and that’s not the point of reading at all. 💜
When it comes to good reads I set it to 52 because that’s an easy 1 book a week and I never feel pressured. Life’s to short to let an app bully me about how many books I’m reading 😆
Fun fact: you can add multiple cards to your Libby account aka share with friends. It doesn’t affect either of your borrows allowed and you don’t see each others libraries. Just free and fun so you can expand your library options!
Heather… you aren’t that behind. To give you hope, I’m 22 books behind my goal. 😅😂😂 Lol but this is giving me a delusional amount of motivation to catch up so thank you 😂😊
absolutely love your convo with the barista! that was so cute. also i have to thank you for introducing me to the reading in the car life - it's magical ✨🙌🏾😁
its so real of you to have less stress lowering your reading goal cause i did the same thing like a month ago lol i went from 10 books behind schedule to 15 ahead and became so much happier
Great reading vlog ❤. Being stressed about being behind on your reading goal is so relatable. I remember when I was stressed about being way behind my reading goal last year.
recently i’ve been getting into reading and i love your videos🥹🥹 there so calming and sweet!! Jesus loves you sweet friend (i know we aren’t friends but i just love that you love reading!!!)ahhh so so happy that i found you🙈🤗🤗
The Goodreads reading goal ruined my life 😄Each year I raised my goal by 10 book of what I read previous year and I was always anxious about it. My OCD wouldn't let me fail, but I just exhausted myself with the stress and low quality of books. Last year I decided to put my goal at 12 books so a book per month, so it's stupid easy (for me) and I no longer feel stressed about the goal. It's also amazing to see that I'm now 31 books ahead of schedule (over the goal) haha! 😆 I try to rethink the purpose of the challenge: it's acually whether your prediction is right (or wrong), not whether you are successful reader and can reach it. Something about deep-rooted perfectionist in me trying to stay alive in my self-made tortue device - brain 🙃
don't worry girlie, I didn't see that twist in never lie coming either lol but I was listening to the audiobook while doing dishes when it revealed THAT part that I stopped everything and stood there in silence and shock
Ok i know it doesn't work like this during vlogmas but im going to need these long vlogs during the winter so i can have your company on my tredmill walks!! Going on a walk now and will come back to watch in the shade 😂❤
If you haven’t already listened to it, for the true crime podcast type audio book you should listen to Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera it was exactly like what you were describing. I listened to it in a day. The dramatization of that audiobook was great.
19:28 same girl I live in the middle of nowhere Texas and they never have freaking anything good and I do not have the money to be spending on buying bucks so I just gotta suck it up❤
lol I had the same reaction to never lie. The whole time I was on my high horse bc I was so sure I figured it out😭 then the ending came and I found out just how wrong I was😂
hi heather! does your library or one near you use Hoopla? it’s an app my library uses, and they have audiobooks with no wait time. each library has different caps for how many you can borrow a month, but i like it! not every book is on there but there are a decent amount! :) i def recommend checking to see if any libraries near you use it! i hope you’re having a nice day!
If you haven’t already read The Night Swim by Megan Goldin you definitely should! The audiobook is perfect for what you were describing you wanted (true crime podcast).

The reaction to audiobook samples is SO REAL 😂😂😂 I'm picky about narrators 😅

Your “theory” about Never Lie…. This was me THE WHOLE TIME. I thought I KNEW 😂😂😂 I thought I had a single CLUE what was going on and “who” it was.
I also listened to the audiobook 😂😂😂😂
You’re so real for saying you felt like you needed to put hillsong on 🤣 I am the same way
Try hoopla with your library card it’s way more convenient than Libby and you don’t have to wait or place a hold for any books
