Thank you so much for such a clear and concise video without 10 min of talking before playing! The flow of your lesson is so good. And this is free? Thank you again!
Nice video! I've been playing for decades, but struggle with that 3/4. Trying to really beat it in my head before I start a song wrong for a while team. 🙈
Yes! Especially something in 3/4... say "All Blues". Pop/Rock blues in 3 as well! If you're feeling it you can turn each pattern into a 12/8 sort of thing, but that'd take some sub dividing.. you can do it! :) Cheers! Oh... and don't forget to grab the free PDF over at: garretsguitarlessons.com
Ha, yes I know I don't go through any real world examples of them being used in this video. My channel typically consists of "here's this concept" then songs that use that concept. So I'll be going through some 3/4 or 6/8 songs here shortly. There are some pretty great lists on google of songs in 3/4 and be sure to try any of these rhythms along with it. I also have a free pdf of all these strumming patterns and more at: garretsguitarlessons.com. Thanks for watching!
My teacher in music did not explain me this. Im glad i found this channel and im very thankful for this free lesson. Wishing you a happy new year!

Thank you cause I needed this for my Amazing Grace cover. It’s traditional American in that 3/4 rhythm and kinda tricky
Glad it was helpful!

This is a great lesson. Would this rhythm lesson work with blues type chords along with blues type chord progressions?

The theory is great, very well explained - but the real world examples are missing : songs.

Guy in the video: the difference between 6/8 and 3/4
Prog rock fans: wait what?
don't bother it's same story with A Sharp / B Flat
I have a blog on enharmonics! 3/4 and 6/8 do have distinctions, not enough to warrant separate rhythm videos though ;)
