This what having a good time looks like youngster's! Everyone just dancing & grooving with no drama! Boy do I miss these days! Nowadays I'm too afraid to go out anymore without worrying about my life!!
Oh my gawd I’m literally transported back to my twenties. The outfits, hairdos, shoes, all of I had💐Friday and Saturday nights at the club and sometimes Thursdays. Sunday nights at NCO club at Ft Benning 1987-88. Don’t tell me I don’t know what IM talking about💃
YES! The man with the cape. at 10:53... I grew up watching the hell out of The New Dance Show... and I never, ever grew tired of my man doing the same exact awkwardly awesome James Brown routine in every dance line. It just wasn't the same if an episode went by without him... he was fly and he didn't care if you knew.
Jason so many foundation grooves to be found in this although I do wonder if this is original music. Maybe I'm so surprised they are funking it to electro house. J J Fad...
He actually let the 12" club mix just play! R&B club mixes had lots of FX added to them like reverb, flanging (bouncing instruments left and right), drum breaks and solos. Listen to the LaFace remixes!
89 and 90 was just about the same too.High top fades and asymmetrical and crempt curly styles for the ladies,it was the peak of the house and new Jack swing era, miss these days. The ladies looked more fly back then, more natural and feminine.
This is f in great!!! Love back when people really danced. Im 44 i was in the clubs last ninties to 2010 and people was getting it in coming out sweaty but the by the late 2000's it started to get boring people all on their phones and no dancing.
Wow!! This was my era. Just graduated highschool. Peach fuzz mustache. Making my own money. Going out EVERY weekend. I really thought i was a grown ass man. No one cld tell me shit!! lol
What's mad is how tastes change and are different in parts of the world. There's absolutely no way a night like this music would attract a predominantly black crowd here (UK). Would so love to have been the lonely funky white guy at this gig! lol And anywhere where there is a guy wearing a cape is right at the top of my hit list!
teddy riley was on like 80% of the records that year. he produced half the tracks on michael jackson's dangerous. he had his own movies. for one brief period everyone danced to teddy's jams.
