You should try cooking typical American dinners. See how u feel. Like dishes that American mums typical do. See if there is a cultural difference or something idk
Elly I’m American I live in Missouri so not northern or southern but somewhere in the middle lol I say this because where you live in America greatly effects what you cook and what meals are considered “normal” We eat a lot of typical meals, spaghetti, tacos, sloppy joes, pizza, casseroles... we grill out often in nice weather usually at least 2 nights per week We grill brats, burgers, steak, chicken and pork chops and usually eat it with a salad, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes etc I use my crock pot to make chili’s, stews, soups, shredded chicken and pulled pork Pretty simple easy meals, nothing fancy lol ETA I can tell right away the OP is not American We don’t use the word mum 😂
Elly a basic breakfast for an American is eggs, bacon, fruit, hash browns, and orange juice, though I typically only have a bowl of oatmeal with fruit and honey. A basic lunch would be a turkey sandwich with chips or a salad, and a basic American dinner would be chicken with mash potatoes and gravy, and possibly some asparagus. Or for an easy dinner you could just cook up some noodles and put tomato sauce on it with some seasonings:)
Elly idk what others do, but My family makes a lot of salmon, cod and stuff, grilled chicken veggies and sweet potatoes. We’re half Syrian, so whenever my father cooks, it’s Arabic food. I’ve heard that we eat a lot healthier that normal Americans though.
That's pretty much done what I've done since January. Mostly for weight loss and better nutrition but I've found it also makes planning for the week so much easier! I've toned down the commitment a touch but it's not that difficult if you can find stuff you like.
You should eat a food from a different continent everyday for a week (Ex) Monday- Europe Tuesday- Asia Wednesday- Africa Thursday- North/South America Friday- Australia
You can’t just say Food from each continent as there’s lots of countries within them with different foods eg: bratwursts from Germany, churros from spain, takoyaki from japan and lots more.
Great video! I'd love to see you bake some traditional British sweets! My mum lived in London and Wales for quite a while, she misses the sweets a lot. I want to bake her something but need good recipes. I'm curious to see the Grackle's ones! Love you so much! Greetings from Italy ✨

Im terrible at giving video suggestions, but I do enjoy the videos of you just interacting with your family. It just so entertaining and different from the usual videos on yt. So, maybe a video where you guys do challenges. But then again, it is difficult to bring 5 people together at a specific time.

Maybe you could do a 23 and Me genetic test and spend a week making recipes from the places your ancestors are from? (lets hope it is more than just UK hah!) Could become a series of doing things your ancestors may have done :) i.e: wear traditional outfits from my ancestors for a week etc :)

Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies are my favorite! Even after being a locally owned bakery manager for 5 years it’s still my favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Thought mine don’t turn out as puffy as yours. Mine come out a little more flat and more gooey. Maybe I add more butter than you did or I add less flour. It also could be a conversation problem from cups to grams or I just baked mine a little less than you had. Either way yet again wonderful video!
My husband and I were pretty obsessed with a stuffing mix recipe we found once when we had a left over box one year after Thanksgiving. You made a casserole with chicken, some veggies and the stuffing mix as a topping. It was pretty quick and easy and tasty!
