How to make an Acrobat Toy

I nearly didn't include this toy as there are plenty of examples on the Internet - just Google Images 'Acrobat Toy'. There's even a template for the acrobat and plans of the frame. I still think that cutting-out the body parts from wood or even thick card would be a challenge for primary pupils so I've used a simplified body made of rectangular pieces of 3mm and 4mm correx.
The hole punch manufacturer I referred to is 'Maun Industries'. They may pass you on to a local retailer. It might be possible to use an office hole punch but it would be difficult to align the holes in the correct place....

Thank you! I have an old acrobat toy horse given to my sons by their grandpa. One of the sticks broke and I lost the bar - have the string. Had no idea the dimensions or how to put it back together. Just started searching and finally found you! I will be able to fix it now. Yay!
