I took a trip to NY in 2008 for a set of shows, which turned out to be only one show, at a dingy bar in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn with about 6 people in attendance. While I was there, Cory (Dot Calm) and I rode bikes throughout the city, he was a wonderful tour guide, he took me to places that he knew were off the beaten path, but were much more interesting than Times Square, and Lady Liberty.
I saw the Ol' Dirty Bastard food stamp mural.
I could not find a Biggie mural.
I saw the apartment where Notorious B.I.G. wrote "Juicy"
I saw the corner he sold crack on, and where he filmed the now infamous battle rap video
I saw where Mos Def owned a bookstore.
I saw where Heath Ledger died.
I saw where Dr. Robert Neville lived in "I Am Legend"
I saw Eugene Merman at an ATM.
I ate lots of free cheese.
We both decided to write a song about the entire experience, and what came out was, "Brooklynians."
    Enjoy
