Usually the blinking means charging, mine turns blue when fully charged. Now I did this video over a year ago, so they may have made some changes to the pen since then. Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe if you haven't already.

Your review is helpful. I bought the same pen in April. For whatever reason, it will not show the video, although the audio is there--I cannot figure out why I can't get it to work! I followed the not-to-great directions that came with it and I did everything the same as you demonstrated, but only a black screen with audio is what I get when I plug it in (I used the USB adapter that came with it). Do you think it's because I'm trying to pull it up on a chromebook and not an actual laptop/Windows PC? I'm not too computer savvy, so I don't know what to do about it. Any helpful advice here? Do the files show up on the computer just will not play? If so its probably the file type, you may need to download something like Media Player or Good ole Quicktime Player. If the files do not show up at all, try to plug the pen in, right click on the drive with the memory card and "format" the memory card. Next time you turn on the pen it will put the folders back on the memory card. Also I have noticed with mine, sometimes I have to re plug it to make sure that it is fully charged. When it works it works good, its a relatively inexpensive product for what it is, the one good thing is that most of the companies that sell these if you got on Amazon are really eager to keep their high ratings and if you contact the seller regardless of how long ago you got it they will usually send you an new one. Probably costs them a couple dollars to make, not worth the bad feedback. Keep me posted. Thanks for watching.

No its a pretty basic device, when you open the .txt document in notepad, you just type in the current date and save it. I'm not sure that it actually time stamps the video, I've never really checked that. Sorry can't help much more than that.
You should be able download them onto a Chromebook also, I'm not sure if Chromebook has an SD Card reader in it, but you can get a USB to MicroSd card reader if not. Should work on any type of computer. Thanks for watching.
With a 32gb card about 2-3 hours is what it seems to be. I've tried a couple larger memory cards in there, I had a Scan Disc 128gb that worked but I have heard other people that wouldn't work. Thanks for watching.
The clips are 3 minutes long, but it continues to record, but if you wanted one big long video you would have to use some sort of editing software to put them all together. You don't miss anything it just saves in segments. Hope that answers the question. I did that video over a year ago, the newer models may be a little different but most cameras like that record segments. The more expensive usually you have more control on how long they record.
I did this video about 2 years ago. The pen I bought at the time there was no way to adjust any settings, just turn it on off, photo or video. I'm still using the same one but the newer models may have a way to change. Sorry can't help more, but the one I have cannot adjust.
Yes, and once the lights flash 3 times there is no other indication that it is on, so you have to try it a few times to make sure you have it down. It is a "cheap" portable camera so it is very limited to what it does and can do. The do work had my same one well over a year now with no issues, just a small learning curve. If the indicator lights were on all the time would not look like a hidden camera anymore. Some of the "hidden" cameras the indicator stays on so you know it is recording if you are looking for just a smaller camera that you don't mind people are knowing they are cameras. @@sjman3105 The light is tiny, sometimes you need to hold the pen at a slight angle to see it. Since it is so small if it is off center any at all makes it difficult to see. If still not flashing I would return it for a replacement.
Sounds like you have a dud, I would send it back if you just got it. The light should turn on and go back off after a few flashes. Now I bought mine a couple years ago, so there may be a new feature that I don't know about, I do know that they now make a wifi version of it. Sorry can't help anymore than that, besides maybe pull the sd card out, put it in a computer and try to format the sd card and re insert, possibly a corrupt file on the sd card.

No, it is on an SD Card, no WIFI on this model. It is the size of a regular pen, so not much room for a Bluetooth or WIFI transmitter and receiver. Thanks for watching, you can just plug into the laptop or PC to see the video you don't have to remove the memory card.
You would have to check and the way you are using would also be a question. You can call the NON 911 number to your local police department and they will give you your state, county and city laws. For instance I cannot imagine that in any home in the US if you had this on your desk to prevent someone in your home from "pilfering" from you that it would be illegal. Now on the other hand if you are at Walmart shooting up skirts, well........ Similar for schools, classes or training situations. If you have this in your pocket during math class so you can go back later and review later, probably legal, again if you are sticking it under a bathroom stall..... The obvious good and bad of this device is basic information, if you are trying to record a phone conversation, most states not legal without telling the other party, if you are selling a car to someone and it is possible that something may go wrong, the would most likely be ok. I have an old model it only has Video Loop recording and still images on it. The newer models on Amazon now have motion but I have not got one yet to try it. Check with the vendor you bought it from. Its usually a series of clicks. Mine 1 click turns on video, 2 clicks does still, possibly 3 clicks do motion. The light on the pen should change colors depending on what mode it is in. Sorry can't help more than that, going to order a newer model today.
I'm not sure on the phone, you would have to find a MicroSD Card reader and a cable to convert it to your phone. This particular device does not use WiFi. The chrome book has a USB port on it, so you can us a USB to MicroSD card reader or just plug the Pen into the Chromebook and view while its charging. Thanks for watching.
Works like day one, have had it for almost 2 years, no issues. It doesn't stay charged nearly as long now but it does function. I am pretty sure there is a new version out now, higher resolution and better audio.

No this pen is not WiFi or Bluetooth compatible. You have to buy something like this one amzn.to/3MED7jb (I have not tried that pen). To me if you are trying to use "spy" or "hidden" cameras, using a wifi or bluetooth device gives of a radio frequency and anyone around you with a phone can see the signal the pen gives off. Also the security on a 50.00 pen camera is very week and not going to be updated, so if someone around you is using something like a "Flipper Zero", they can easily access your phone thru the pen and get any data including stored credit cards, wifi passwords, your contact list, your personal pictures, etc... It comes with a small usb reader, amzn.to/3qg9yww that will let you plug the sd card into your phone.

Can you upload images or videos onto a computer without the SD card slot? I only have the charger cable.
You should be able to use the charger cable if it is a sub to the pen, it will open up on your computer like a new drive like F: G: etc...

How long can i record?
Depending on the SD card you put in I get about 6-7 hours on a 32GB.
