All the actors in Top of the Lake gave outstanding performances. Nicole, Elizabeth, Alice and Gwendoline stood out for me. And I was always looking forward to the scenes of Gwen and Lizzy their chemistry is fantastic #MustWatch

Am I the only one that thinks that Jane Campion looks, and even sounds like, Merryl Streep? Put her on a grey hair wig and she could do her life story. I'm here because I'm a Gwendoline super fan.
I loved this series but felt like it focused too much on Robin and not enough on the plot of finding out who the killer was. Even though they knew it was most likely Puss, they didn't go and get him which makes The Fall much better in that regard. Also, I really liked the scenes of the blokes in the cafe with their laptops and talking about prostitutes, and felt like the rivalry between the top dog and the guy who was in love with Cinnamon could have been explored more. Also, how hot is Pike, wow, I couldn't get over how beautiful he is inside and out. And that scene when Miranda throws her cigarette when Robin is coming made me crack it

You do a disservice to both Alice and Kristen Stewart with your comment. There are different types of people in the world and just because someone isn't outwardly bubbly or meets your definition of how someone should act doesn't mean they have no personality.
