Awesome list, Here's my Top 10 10. Jet Set Radio - This game was well designed for the cel shaded graphics and the soundtrack is awesome. 9. Altered Beast - I never knew what this game was until I played it and I loved it to death, once you transform into a beast you get to do a charge attack and shoot fireball which is just amazing, and the attacks are so great. 8. Conker's Bad Fur Day - The characters and dialogues were so funny that I wanted to play the game all over again, the graphics are awesome and the story just made me laugh for the whole time. 7. Parasite Eve Series - I cannot choose between both games because they were amazing, the story was fantastic and the characters were amazing especially the boss battles it just blew my mind. 6. Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal - I had so much fun playing this game ever since I was a die hard fan of the Ratchet & Clank series, the cutscenes and dialogues were super funny especially the characters in this game, the upgrades were amazing and I truly adore the multiplayer and challenges so much they were so mind blowing, my most favourite part about this game are the weapons and they were super fun to use. 5. Final Fantasy X - When I first discovered the intro it just blew my mind especially sin's attack, the story and the characters were epic especially the voice acting in this game, I truly adore the music so much it was so calm and peaceful which reminded me of christmas, the battle system was super especially the overdrive attacks which was so incredible to use, I loved it so much that it was my favorite RPG game of all time. 4. Sonic Adventure 2 - I only played the gamecube version which I mostly enjoyed, the controls were comfortable to use and the graphics were amazing, the soundtracks had one of my favourite songs of all time which I just can't stop listening and the stages were excellent. 3. Contra III The Alien Wars - I just want to say about this game that the graphics are very well designed for a 16 bit game, however it's not just the graphics that were amazing it was the weapons and the bosses, the bosses were excellent and the weapons were super fun to use and it just made me love this game. 2. Batman Arkham City - I played this game many times on the Xbox 360 and it was fantastic, the story was very phenomenal and the characters were outstanding especially Talia al ghul who happens to be my favorite character in this game she is just perfect, also the upgrades and challenges were extremly good, the combo attacks were awesome to use for defeating your enemies and it was so epic at that time. 1. Mario Kart Double Dash - I had to pick this game as my No. 1 because there is something unique about this game, the graphics were very colorful, the characters were so fun to use along with the special karts which was very exciting for me, also the items in this game are so fun to use especially in a multiplayer, my most favorite part about this game is that you are able to play up to 8 players using your broadband adapter on your gamecube which was very mind blowing at the time and the battle mode was very enjoyable for me. Solid list. Solid. SNES was the first console I ever got new and still gets lots of love. Versus your 10, I would personally swap in Super Bomberman 5 although it's tough to choose which of your 10 to boot out. Simply because of the 5 player action that is accessible to friends who don't even game, yet enough skill ceiling to be a fun battle among seasoned gamers. Sadly no US release, but thanks to eBay the SFC titles eventually became easy to pick up.
Much respect...MJR heres mine... 1) Metal Gear Solid 3 - I was a big fan of MGS and thought it was the greatest thing out until this game released. The camo system, badass villains, cinematic cutscenes, deep story and a epic score. - PS2 2) Fallout 3 - Fallout 3 could easily be swapped with Skyrim but for me i preferred guns over swords, the guns were fun, VATS was unique, side quests were great but it was the atmosphere and theme that would be forever remembered. 3) Super Mario Lands - I never got to play the Mario games in the 90s not until the 20th century except for this game, i spent countless amount of hours and batteries playing this game on my Gameboy. 4) Final Fantasy X - I know people prefer the other FF titles but X was for me it just had a great story, characters are memorable, the graphics were amazing even to this day but its that ending that sure made me realise how great the journey was also how sad too. 5) Warcraft III: DOTA - Before DOTA 2. before LoL, before HoN there was the original DOTA and the amount of hours i spent at Internet Cafes just to play others was the best. 6) Zelda: Ocarina of Time. 7) Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. 8) Resident Evil 2. 9) Telltales The Walking Dead Season 1. 10) Devil May Cry 3. The fact you have ssx on the list just made me gain major respect for you. A lot of people instantly shut those games down because they are unrealistic snowboarding games.. But you and I understand it's purpose and how much fun you can have riding around being a manic with no real consequences :P
I'm kinda disappointed Jak n Daxter didn't make the list because I myself think it's the best unfinished series EVER made. But it did at least make the honorable mentions so I can't really complain too much :P I swear on my life though. If they kept going with Jak n Daxters it would be know even more than the mario series. It's honestly got soooooo much potential just Naughty Dog decided to leave it to die :( Edit: yes I know the story got kinda fucked from switching producers and I know a lot of people hate everything after the original but if you realllllly try to dig up the story it honestly makes a lot of sense to me. Minus Jak X that game was a waste of time. IMO.

2023, SSX 3 and the Burnout games are still GOATed imo. Those games were so fun to hand off to friends and family who didn't know much about video games. Lots of great memories! I played the Tony Hawk games more overall, but, SSX 3 was just more fun to play with people. Especially if they weren't good at THPS or games in general. Everyone still had fun.

The first time I player KotOR, I spent 60+ hours playing through it. Immediately after I beat the game, I played through it again... Then I played through it a third time, and then a fourth time. I actually played through the game four consecutive times, within about 3 months. It is such a perfect RPG.
I replayed it(has been a favourite of all time). And it still surprise me today. So great to play with and its story. And so much depth. Much richer than MGS v :D

i love the ps2 so much i have had it since i was young and I had so much memories. I stopped playing it for a long period of time and now that i’m in high school i went back to play it and it just hits me with nostalgia, that’s why the Ps2’s my favourite system.

I loved the Coleco controllers. Uncomfortable, to be sure, and the number pads didn't respond well, and the buttons on the side were a weird choice, and the squat/wide joystick was odd, but....wait, what was I saying? Yeah, the game was much better with the Colecovision Super Action Controllers that came with the baseball game.

Burnout 3 is incredible, I agree it’s the best arcade racer. Revenge I feel just wasn’t as good. The big change to allow you to ram cars in the rear and launch them into your opponents made it worse, because the risk of crashing was what made the game so fun and adrenaline fueled, and now you basically can’t crash if you’re on one side of the road.

I remember inviting one of my friends over when we were growing up to play KotOR on the Xbox and he never gave the game a chance because the combat was turn based. He really missed out.
What turn based games youve played? Try something like Heroes of might and magic 3 or X-com series. Its all about strategy and definetly not "just about pressing buttons and waiting"
iampanax alot of people miss out on great game's because they won't give turn based game's a chance. I personally prefer turn based because, it requires more deep thinking and strategy, as opposed to just killing everything on screen. I also feel sorry for anybody who missed KOTR

I know what you mean about older games like Metroid they really made you use your imagination but now its just handed to you on a plate. Awesome list, Here's my Top 10
10. Jet Set Radio - This game was well designed for the cel shaded graphics and the soundtrack is awesome.
9. Altered Beast - I never knew what this game was until I played it and I loved it to death, once you transform into a beast you get to do a charge attack and shoot fireball which is just amazing, and the attacks are so great.
8. Conker's Bad Fur Day - The characters and dialogues were so funny that I wanted to play the game all over again, the graphics are awesome and the story just made me laugh for the whole time.
7. Parasite Eve Series - I cannot choose between both games because they were amazing, the story was fantastic and the characters were amazing especially the boss battles it just blew my mind.
6. Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal - I had so much fun playing this game ever since I was a die hard fan of the Ratchet & Clank series, the cutscenes and dialogues were super funny especially the characters in this game, the upgrades were amazing and I truly adore the multiplayer and challenges so much they were so mind blowing, my most favourite part about this game are the weapons and they were super fun to use.
5. Final Fantasy X - When I first discovered the intro it just blew my mind especially sin's attack, the story and the characters were epic especially the voice acting in this game, I truly adore the music so much it was so calm and peaceful which reminded me of christmas, the battle system was super especially the overdrive attacks which was so incredible to use, I loved it so much that it was my favorite RPG game of all time.
4. Sonic Adventure 2 - I only played the gamecube version which I mostly enjoyed, the controls were comfortable to use and the graphics were amazing, the soundtracks had one of my favourite songs of all time which I just can't stop listening and the stages were excellent.
3. Contra III The Alien Wars - I just want to say about this game that the graphics are very well designed for a 16 bit game, however it's not just the graphics that were amazing it was the weapons and the bosses, the bosses were excellent and the weapons were super fun to use and it just made me love this game.
2. Batman Arkham City - I played this game many times on the Xbox 360 and it was fantastic, the story was very phenomenal and the characters were outstanding especially Talia al ghul who happens to be my favorite character in this game she is just perfect, also the upgrades and challenges were extremly good, the combo attacks were awesome to use for defeating your enemies and it was so epic at that time.
1. Mario Kart Double Dash - I had to pick this game as my No. 1 because there is something unique about this game, the graphics were very colorful, the characters were so fun to use along with the special karts which was very exciting for me, also the items in this game are so fun to use especially in a multiplayer, my most favorite part about this game is that you are able to play up to 8 players using your broadband adapter on your gamecube which was very mind blowing at the time and the battle mode was very enjoyable for me.

SNES is the best console ever
Solid list. Solid. SNES was the first console I ever got new and still gets lots of love. Versus your 10, I would personally swap in Super Bomberman 5 although it's tough to choose which of your 10 to boot out. Simply because of the 5 player action that is accessible to friends who don't even game, yet enough skill ceiling to be a fun battle among seasoned gamers. Sadly no US release, but thanks to eBay the SFC titles eventually became easy to pick up.
Much respect...MJR heres mine...
1) Metal Gear Solid 3 - I was a big fan of MGS and thought it was the greatest thing out until this game released. The camo system, badass villains, cinematic cutscenes, deep story and a epic score. - PS2
2) Fallout 3 - Fallout 3 could easily be swapped with Skyrim but for me i preferred guns over swords, the guns were fun, VATS was unique, side quests were great but it was the atmosphere and theme that would be forever remembered.
3) Super Mario Lands - I never got to play the Mario games in the 90s not until the 20th century except for this game, i spent countless amount of hours and batteries playing this game on my Gameboy.
4) Final Fantasy X - I know people prefer the other FF titles but X was for me it just had a great story, characters are memorable, the graphics were amazing even to this day but its that ending that sure made me realise how great the journey was also how sad too.
5) Warcraft III: DOTA - Before DOTA 2. before LoL, before HoN there was the original DOTA and the amount of hours i spent at Internet Cafes just to play others was the best.
6) Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
7) Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.
8) Resident Evil 2.
9) Telltales The Walking Dead Season 1.
10) Devil May Cry 3.

The fact you have ssx on the list just made me gain major respect for you. A lot of people instantly shut those games down because they are unrealistic snowboarding games.. But you and I understand it's purpose and how much fun you can have riding around being a manic with no real consequences :P
I'm kinda disappointed Jak n Daxter didn't make the list because I myself think it's the best unfinished series EVER made. But it did at least make the honorable mentions so I can't really complain too much :P I swear on my life though. If they kept going with Jak n Daxters it would be know even more than the mario series. It's honestly got soooooo much potential just Naughty Dog decided to leave it to die :(
Edit: yes I know the story got kinda fucked from switching producers and I know a lot of people hate everything after the original but if you realllllly try to dig up the story it honestly makes a lot of sense to me. Minus Jak X that game was a waste of time. IMO.

This era of PS2 gaming was amazing and I still play SSX 3 and Burnout 3 (regularly) to this day.. they are so important to my very modest collection.

I played the Tony Hawk games more overall, but, SSX 3 was just more fun to play with people. Especially if they weren't good at THPS or games in general. Everyone still had fun.

The first time I player KotOR, I spent 60+ hours playing through it. Immediately after I beat the game, I played through it again... Then I played through it a third time, and then a fourth time. I actually played through the game four consecutive times, within about 3 months. It is such a perfect RPG.

i love the ps2 so much i have had it since i was young and I had so much memories. I stopped playing it for a long period of time and now that i’m in high school i went back to play it and it just hits me with nostalgia, that’s why the Ps2’s my favourite system.

7. Pokémon (GB/GBC/GBA/DS) - Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal and Fire Red/Leaf Green are great. But Heart Gold/Soul Silver are the best Pokémon games ever made.
6. Yakuza (PS2/PS3/PS4) - Yakuza is a great series, with 3 and 5 being my favourites.
5. Banjo Kazooie (N64) - Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are both great. Nuts and Bolts on the Xbox 360 was shit however.
4. Metal Gear Solid (PS1/PS2/PS3/PS4) - Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4 are my favourites. 5 was a let-down though.

Unless you have it on cartridge, which i do. ;) Colecovision version looks great, but those weird controllers.
I loved the Coleco controllers. Uncomfortable, to be sure, and the number pads didn't respond well, and the buttons on the side were a weird choice, and the squat/wide joystick was odd, but....wait, what was I saying?
Yeah, the game was much better with the Colecovision Super Action Controllers that came with the baseball game.

A lot of people swear by Timesplitters 2, which is a great game but I agree that Future Perfect is the best.

Burnout 3 is incredible, I agree it’s the best arcade racer. Revenge I feel just wasn’t as good. The big change to allow you to ram cars in the rear and launch them into your opponents made it worse, because the risk of crashing was what made the game so fun and adrenaline fueled, and now you basically can’t crash if you’re on one side of the road.

I remember inviting one of my friends over when we were growing up to play KotOR on the Xbox and he never gave the game a chance because the combat was turn based.
He really missed out.
What turn based games youve played? Try something like Heroes of might and magic 3 or X-com series. Its all about strategy and definetly not "just about pressing buttons and waiting"
iampanax alot of people miss out on great game's because they won't give turn based game's a chance. I personally prefer turn based because, it requires more deep thinking and strategy, as opposed to just killing everything on screen. I also feel sorry for anybody who missed KOTR

K M yeah those are awesome games. You need to give the Witcher 3 a try with the dlcs. I put about 500 hours into that game... probably one of the only games I’ve played in my 30 years of playing games that I was legit sad for like a week after I beat it land I’m a grown man haha.
