Yeah..... just picked this up, as well as the "Rites of Loathsome Sorcery" demo over on Bandcamp. This is the sort of raw, underproduced, authentic BM that I love so much, yet come across so rarely nowadays. If I was forming, or joining a BM band on bass, this would be the style I'd write and record
Genuinely curious, which riff sounds like Joy Division, and which Joy Division riff does it sound like? Not a bad thing, but not a band I'd consider an influence. Cheers!
Very nice production and atmospheric cover. A bit more innovation could have been happened in riff composing to really stand out and be memorable. Nevertheless above average with freezing old school atmosphere!!

Black Metal is bathed from birth in punk. Darkthrone oozes punk influences.
Randomly found this the cover art drew me in total old school then the punk style stomps but it’s got an almost les legions noir feel to it love it!
