There is not a single chance that BMW would be faster than the GSF ! I was racing a week ago with my GSF vs M4 from a rolling start 60 kmh and we were almost neck to neck right up to 240+ kmh. That BMW has serious tune ups!!!
More HP and a faster car doesn't always mean you have the better car. The GS-F is perfectly balanced, even more so than the RC-F, and a much more mature vehicle. I love it!
RCF is better handling and quicker in a straight line while GSF is more smooth and has more progressive feel at the limit. RCF with the shorter length and wheelbase can be twitchy when pushed to the limit, which requires more skills. I have driven both and chose the RCF because of the compact dimensions (GSF is 6 inches longer).
@@Majeed_1995 the gsf is a full family sedan and weighs a lot more. Would rather reliability over horsepower and all that other shit. German vehicles are money pits

He's said it many times, "I'll sell mine to get a Lexus when the warranty runs out"
6 days after the warranty ended, he sold the car and bought a Lexus lc500....
He is enjoying the car....
We had two BMWs and now 2 Lexuses - only sticking to Lexus from now on, because of the reliability.
I have an 11GS AWD with 100K miles and except for a bit of wear and tear mechanically it is better than many new cars I test drove. Put 20K on it already. Gets 22MPG mixed. I almost bought a Subaru for more than double what I paid. I live in an area where they salt and the car isn't rusty either. That AWD system is amazing too. I see on the Lexus forum - most repairs are minor and you could even DIY. Things like starters and alternators that fail after very high mileage. So far the cost of ownership is 4 OCs I DIY with pennzoil platinum. (With rebates and a Toyota filter around $35 each).

It's amazing how strong of a following Lexus performance cars are starting to get. People are getting tired of 6 cylinder/turbo exhaust notes. More and more buyers are looking for cars that are comfortable, reliable and sound awesome. The GS-F checks all three of those boxes.

I had leased a 2006m5 when it first came out...I liked the car but not enough to purchase after lease...Now I own a GS-F and love the damn car. Has so much attention to detail with a ton of character. Can't see many more to replace it.
Lexus is around 2 ton and Bmw is just 1600. Bmw is little faster cause of the turbo. But in a long way Lexus is faster. The sound of GS F is special. Everything on the Lexus is perfection. Bmw doesn't even come close to Lexus when it comes to reliability, quality, Technology, Design and etc. Speed is not everything.

Toyota is more reliable than Audi in any aspect. both cars same year 2007 10 years old car Toyota never had any problem and it runs like new. And about Audi? many issues and it spend most of time on the Mechanic Shop. Toyota spend most of time on the road. Japanese cars are far away better than German cars.

That Technology on Germans cars like you said it'll be fine for 3 or 4 years, than the car need te spend most of time on the mechanic shop. Japanese Tech is superior, so the cars. And in the street we see mostly Japanese cars.

How to compare nice big lexus engine v8 5.0 tto bmw engine 3.0 v6 with dobbel turbo simple calculation
You can daily that GS and beat the piss out of it and all you have to do is regular maintenance. Try that with the bmw and you won’t be able to sleep at night.
After a few months of highway pulls, the dashboard is lit up with a ton of warning lights.

Yes, the BMW may be a little faster and lighter but also breaks down quicker and goes to the repair shop very often. Lexus is fast enough, luxurious and very reliable.

I LOVE Lexus but they still do have a long way to go in terms of performance. Don’t get me wrong they are fast and somewhat quick but they seriously need to catch up to BMW and Mercedes and even Audi.
But I believe in them and I am sure they will soon catch up

They've never said they're trying to compete with those cars. Lexus engineers have openly stated they want to build fun Lexus's that are quick. That's it. They do not bench mark those cars against any other brands. Ironically enough BMW and Mercedes are close to being undriveable in real world conditions considering the fact that they never hook up. They're smoke machines in real world conditions. Drive any of these cars on the track and unless you're in an advanced class you will never be allowed to overtake at a regular track day. At a time event, no one ever takes any of these cars to an actual race. So whats the point of having crazy performance when its too much to use anywhere

Is there anyone who really thought the GSF is going to be faster than the M3 Competition?? Everyone knows you don’t buy a Lexus for speed and handling. If you want a super reliable car that’s semi-fast, go Lexus, but don’t buy a Lexus if you actually want a super fast sports luxury vehicle.
People on here keep bringing up reliability, but you all forget that if you can afford either of these cars brand new you obviously got alittle money. Meaning you will be getting the lastest and greatest in the following year or two, and we all know both will last that long then it's someone else's problem. You don't buy sports cars for long term reliability you buy them for the driving experience right then. Plus comparing these two is dumb anyways m3 should be compared to the isf and the gsf to the m5 and that would definitely be a whooping the m5 would destroy it.. lol

loo lolo the two cars are in the same league the M3 has 450hp and the lexus has 477hp vmax: m4=280 lexus=270. yes he weigh more but the mercedes c63 weighs so much and is faster as the lexus.
