I can't believe the ump really just blew that game for us last night. Not calling that last pitch a strike should have him losing his job - he clearly just didn't care anymore. It was a double play, that all of a sudden became a walk, with no outs.. then the game was totally flipped upside down.
We need to bring Velasquez back up. I thought we definitely would when Melendez got hurt, but we keep using Frazier for no good reason, and are giving Waters a lot of chances.. Renfroe was batting .153 and Melendez was batting .167 at one point, and it seemed like they were never going to do anything - but Velasquez goes through one 10 day slump, and gets kicked down to triple A indefinitely.. I don't get it. Are they just forgetting about how he started the year?
