Our bathroom was off the kitchen also when I was young. My mother was obsessed with the phone (back then we had a tabletop phone and later we had a wall phone)....anyway....she would be sitting on the throne and the if the phone rang, she would dash out of the bathroom to answer it, even if her bottom was bare (she even bought an extra long phone cord so that she could talk while in the bathroom, but you couldn't answer it in there). I used to say to her to ignore it....they will call back, but she couldn't resist! 🤣🤣🤣
