Instead of combating behavior and the reason people go to jail......we want to worry about how they are treated in JAIL. wow, the problem starts way before you get to the jail. PARENTS PLEASE PARENT.

Sad when they only come to visit him when he’s deceased. Not one visit from any family for this man & now they want to get paid so they show up and act as if they cared. This mother should have been on the phone, then down at the jail with this man’s medical records showing his special needs documentation to have him moved to another section. Do you know just how many people claim mental illness so they can be moved into a private cell, get better lodging in jail? Tons and tons as they shut down the mental health system for people like this & released thousands of people to the streets for them to kill and harm others. When they meet their fate on the inside, then they want to sue. This family deserves absolutely nothing, period. Had she been their for her son & not expect the police to babysit and calm her grown son, & apparently in the society norms, she should have known better. The young man was 20, so how many times does he need to show a knife, stab or kill someone, & then get a pass by claiming mental illness. He had a bond and they didn’t even get him out, so it’s only the parents fault & the killer who should get more time when he goes to court for murdering this kid. The man is asking about bond and claiming they needed power of atty instead of bailing him out & not actually getting him out. They didn’t want him home, she clearly says it, she wanted him to go to the hospital and not home so they knew he was violent. The mama wanting something for her failing to do her job. No where in the USA do you need power of atty to bond someone out of jail, she purposely left him in there to “teach him a lesson”. Well she got taught a lesson, leaving your child in jail to be watched and cared for so she didn’t have to do it, didn’t work to her favor.

I’m going to ask this question «Why was he in jail to Begin with? If the family is so concerned they should have been there to start with!
This is just more bs from the party of looser democrats. He was mentally challenged and the family did not watch out for him or take care of him. It’s the family’s fault if it’s anyones fault.

HippieRednex, perhaps we should build special jails for the mentally challenged people. Mentally disabled and the alphabet people. They need to be protected from the other inmates. Regular jails for regular offenders. Now, how do we determine who’s regular and who’s not ?

Ok Fred Harris should not have been arrested in the first place. He was defending himself at the home he was placed in and didn't do anything but threaten the bully that was trying to attack him. The officers are at fault they should have waited for his mother to show up to help him calm down. He was disabled.

I love how the white guy takes the opportunity to throw on a shirt to promote a business. That being said, I think he cared more than the mother, to be honest. These people only show up when there’s money to be made.
