I am a gamer and railroad enthusiast since I was little, though I cannot claim the hard work and diligence of a true rail fan. I'm running a mystery adventure set onboard this train, and I plan on using your amazing video as a way to help the players imagine the route. Thank you for the beautiful photography of both nature and trains, and the excellent sound recording!
Excellent video! Just subbed! Rode the Capitol Limited in 2014 from Harpers Ferry to Chicago and back. Was an amazing experience! Can’t wait to do it again! You really know your video production man!
Wife and I got to do the Capitol in both directions back in June, from DC to Chicago. I was in the sightseer lounge from DC all the way to Connellsville. We had a roomette on the way back....good times!
I've always been a fan of your Capitol Limited clips and this is no exception. What an awesome collection of different locations and different times of year! Makes me want to get back out to western PA and MD right now!
I highly appreciate the unique angle of each shot, as well as the great videography! Well done, and keep up the good work! Side note: For some reason, RUclips set the max quality to 360p. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Nice catches! I like the beautiful scenery of all of the four seasons in the background! I also like the old Amtrak GE Dash 8-32BWH Locomotives and the Amtrak Phase III Heritage Locomotive! Really nice!
I LOVE this section of track west of Cumberland, Maryland and into Pennsylvania! I recently put up a few vids from around there, and I have many many more scheduled into the new year already! You did a great job, I'm impressed! (Mine weren't as good, I dont think)
@@CentralPennRailProductions Are these railfanning spots accessible by road? I'm not too far from Cumberland in Thurmont. I've been wanting to go railfan CSX for awhile now and was looking to start in my area. I've also been seeing that CSX is forecasting an uptick in intermodal traffic for 2021.
Oh that snow looks so cooooooldddd ... I got sick of that, I got out of Ohio and hightailed it to the Sunshine State. The S-line is right down at the end of my street. I get to hear those horns close-up, 24/7. I did the Capitol Limited from Toledo to Chicago a few times, but never east. That's just gorgeous mountain scenery!
You should watch the movie series Sand Patch Trains, it's a 5 part movie series of a group a people that Railfan CSX and Amtrak along the Keystone subdivision, such as where you caught the First Amtrak.
What's you favorite Amtrak train or trip that you've been on?
The " Crescent" between NYP-ATL nice trip, many historical stops along NS mainline .
That's one Amtrak train I haven't checked out, maybe I'll have to make a trip down that way next year.
Charlotte-DC (Alexandria) was the only Amtrak train I rode
Oceanside to San Diego, Ca. Back in the 80's with the F40PH's
Never been on one sadly. I know I could take the Maple Leaf from Toronto to New York but money is a problem
Absolutely phenomenal video with views you can't see while on the train. Deep country. I rode the Capitol Limited westbound in the late 1990s.

I loved your video . Your camera work was superb. I wish you had included the names of each location.

This is some flawless camera work! If only every RUclips channel was this good.

I agree - awesome shots and videography. Can’t say we get these scenic views along the Gulf Coast.
Oh that's weird, it was working for me fine in 4K just a minute ago. And thanks for the comment!
@@paulpatterson197 but you do have cool bridges and lake crossings in the Gulf!
@@CentralPennRailProductions I just checked and it seems to be back to 4K now, so it was probably just me.
Agreed! Great angles...
This is now in my top 2! Thanks! 14:25 echos the best!
Thanks, I appreciate it! I love those horn echoes too!

Thanks a lot! There's definitely a lot of neat scenery here that keeps me going back.

I have been watching them, I love that area even though the trains have changed from using helpers to DPU's (except coal).

15:44 is my favorite Amtrak heritage and my favorite Amtrak engine which is the dash8s. Also great video!
Thanks! And yeah I miss the Dash-8's, they rarely come by here now.
Some stunning 4k passenger scenes you have there, great echoing sounds too!
Thank you as always!
Perfect job! 👌👍❤😊

Nice vedeo
You can't go wrong whatever the conditions there. The mist if anything makes it even more dramatic.
Thanks for watching/commenting!
Nice Video!!! Eric what are those cars at the end of the Capitol limited with 193 and 110
My favorite amtrak train is the Lakeshore or Cresent.
rolling through those hills I'll bet when you walk between cars all you can smell is brake smoke
about 14:30 turkeys crossing quickly lol, and then one "almost" right before the train .
Haha yeah, glad someone noticed that!
Amtraks GE P40DC #824 with American Nathan K5LA AirChime AirWhistle
A amfleet observation
Why does 138's K5LA sound odd in this video?
9:40 where was that taken?
Iris pv car was on amtrak 6 California zephyr heading east to Chicago coming back
It’s a diesel train?
Yes
