This wood is almost a metaphor. The stresses of the trees lifespan left it twisted, ugly and deformed but those same stresses, by living through them, made something extremely beautiful inside of it.
Have you ever tried to actually see through safety glasses ? Just buy the products, play your video games in Mom's basement and leave the safety concerns to the pros, we know what we're doing.
🌲🌳🍀🐾🦉 Enjoyable, & Very informative, the main reason I watch. Which species of tree is this? Is it rare or common? How tall & wide does it grow? How long do they live for? Thanks for the video 😉🦉🐾🍀🌳🌲.
Sawyers don't use gloves around saw blades, because the glove catching in the blade would pull your hand into the blade. Not wearing goggles is just very dangerous!
What kind of wood is this? It looks beautiful! I don't know how thick they are cutting this logs but I would cut it at 4" to allow for planning & finishing.
This is a type of mahogany wood that is not perfectly formed, so it forms a texture like that and we call it gembol wood here. we cut this wood in 4* thickness for table making. Thank you very much bro 🙏🏻
You all need protection: gloves, eye protection, back support wrap and steel toe shoes. The Burroughs look so pretty and can make nice furniture with them. Blessings to all.
@@woodsawmillskill Not sure what species of Mahogany this is, but unlikely to be a Philippine Cedar like Luan, which is often passed off as Mahogany, I could be wrong. If it's a central/south American Mahogany or African variety, it's notorious for causing allergic reactions, and other long lasting issues. I don't mind the obvious protection issues, if knows what he's doing. I did similar as a boat carpenter long ago, and I still have all parts. It's the sneaky things that get you. If he worked for me, I'd want him to have eye and lung protection. Sorry about the nail.
Rumor has it there was a first aid and safety equipment company that set up shop in this country but didn't do too well and eventually shut down due to lack of business.
I am in BC Canada in the north. Any big wood like this is Douglas Fir and usually used for pulp. All but a few are wind shook so much they /for the best part go to pulp mills for salvage eh. A real shame As I have taken many to heat my home every year, The big ones around 5 + feet I do the falling as most folks don't want to mess around with trees this big. Some can take up to a full day to deal with eh, LOLOL. Some have taken 6 to 10 trips for just one stem. I do love falling ralling BIG WOOD !
Please never use gloves with this type of saw. Essentially what happens is the same grabs the glove and pulls, so instead of getting a clean cut and losing a couple fingers, the entire arm gets pulled into the machine & mangled. Ear and eye protection are standard precautions though.

Give that guy some Safety Glasses !!!!!
I know right! First thing I thought of when I saw this.
And possibly some spare fingers
He doesn't need glasses! You guys must have been raised in the 80s. No common sense so you gotta have glasses. Sad.
Yeah. Don’t need glasses. Just squint some like this guy does. That should do it. 🙄

Always squint and shield your eyes with one hand when milling a $25,000 log. Don't spend $5 on safety glasses.

Why isn't that man (0:46) wearing safety glasses?
workers chose not to wear them because they were not used to them
Or...other countries see workers as an expendable commodity
Because OSHA does not exist there...
