If you think about it, the Bloop is basically just a Godzilla-sized basking shark with teeth. And despite its enormous size, it pays little to no attention to humans. With its sheer size, though, I could easily imagine a mini-ecosystem popping up around it as it lazily travels the oceans, much like how real-life sharks and whales have things like remoras and other small critters congregating around them.
Buddy. The tail fin is already as wide as a cargo ship is long. That's about an easy 300 metres. I estimate the whole creature, if whale-shaped, is about 2 km, 17 times of Monsterverse Godzilla's height.
@@luciuswalker8578Nah, there's no ill will behind it. Same as a whale accidentally swallowed that cano a few years back. It so happens that it was on the same spot the whale was feeding.

The "deep sea gigantism" phenomenon arises at low temperatures, where large body structures are more efficient. At that size, the square-cube law and thermodynamics are gonna be a bitch.
A blue whale alone needs 1.5 million calories a day, and that thing looks (I'm just guessing, could be inaccurate) 6X as long. But also far more volume. I'd guess 50 million calories a day at that size.

Those divers would've been dead before they saw it. Those sounds it was making should've turned them into a liquid, the decibels are loud enough to be heard off the coast. It's sonar on steroids
@@Beastly_Genius And on that note it's already a thing that you don't want to be exposed to Whale Songs in the water as they're already intense enough to legitimately kill you.
Amazing as usual! You chose three different angles to show the beast and each one was epic. I have my notifications on for this channel and hope you get big :))
Pretty nice, but the last shot really downplays the size of this creature, feels more like a whale shark. Compare how fast it passes the cargo ship, comparing to the diver.
This is so much better and scarier than those jump-scare videos where the gigantic sea monsters somehow noticed the tiny human and go out of their way to chase and eat him.

This is not thalassophobia because we can see the gigantic creature in the ocean. Thalassophobia is the fear of not knowing what could be underwater, especially in dark waters. What is portrayed here is megalohydrothalassophobia, which is "the fear of large things underwater, such as whales, underwater structures, and other large sea creatures." I should know, I have that phobia.
You ever think about the fact that a creature of this size would be impossible; on earth that is, imagine on some other planet there are actual creatures this size, we barely know anything about the universe and even our own oceans as it is and well if Deep Sea gigantism got big enough....
Made it to about 37 seconds before I had to stop. Doesn't even matter that there's something shown to be in the water, I just can't handle the open water visuals. Maybe one day I'll come back and try to power through, but laying in bed about to go to sleep I have no fucking idea why RUclips was like "Yeahhhhhh now's the time to get him"
How is the ship listing before the wave even hits it? Kind of lost me there, specially because you bothered to animate the wave after the tail emerged and just had it not go anywhere? Either way, the ending got me good, thought we'd see it eat the diver. Having it come for me directly made my stomach sink.
the ending would have been more scary, if the water around pov diver slowly darkened and he was swallowed whole without even knowing that is was swallowed. good job man
I like how it’s treated more like a animal than just some Thalassophobia Monster trying to kill anything But the scary thing if it wanted too then humans to The Bloop would probably be like how krill are like to Baleen Whales
