The Skiltaire Party at FC 2023 was great. One of my most favorite convention experiences ever.
That's cool. I'm a furry too. Wish I could go and attend to all the furry conventions but I'm broke. I have no money to get a fursuit or for transportation. But, hopefully when I get a job, I'll save my job money for my fursuit and for transportation to the furry con.
This is going to be a very personal and embarrassing thing to share I guess, but whatever I feel compelled to share it anyway. I watched this an hour ago and it was a surprisingly... emotional experience for me, to put it that way.
Denver was shown in this doc at a few points, I am hopefully moving to Denver once spring comes, right now I'm in the wait in a small sierra town in Mexico. Not to get into too much personal detail about that, but something that PartyPrat, if memory serves right, said resonated with me, because it is exactly how I feel.
The thing about living in a rural place and wanting to get out and have fun. I've been living in this small town for a year and a half now, on the wait to be sent to the US. And even though this town is the homeland of my main family and it is in a valley between mountains so we're surrounded by lovely nature, it's a suffocating and depressing place to live if you're a kid like me, just different. I've always been an outsider to almost everything, queer in a conservative environment, too Mexican to be American and too American to be Mexican, the artsy one in a family of working class folk.
The only time I've ever felt a part of anything is among homeless queer teens in my youth, that's a story I won't tell here, but it lead to a lot of drug addiction and trauma that I'm still trying to navigate.
I'm itching to get to Denver so I can begin my adulthood in earnest and make my own life. And it's very fortunate that I'm gonna be heading to Denver, as far as I've seen one of the epicenters of furry culture. 'Cause it really seems like the furry community is the only place a guy like me can really fit in. I'm excited to see around, potentially make new friends, go to parties, just be a part of something.
Maybe this isn't an appropriate place to share this kinda thing, but I dunno, seeing all the fun and glitz here, and seeing some of it happen in Denver, it does make me hopeful that maybe I can join in on the fun sometime. At least make some good memories that won't be in the backdrop of being a drug addict and underage prostitute, y'know?

I have the same feeling regarding Furry conventions in general - there is even a thing for Post-Con Depression where having to go back to the closet for everyday existence, for a lot of people, feels like being strangled until they can release their love back into the world in another Con.
We all wish you the best that you can finally release the pent-up need to be part of somethign and be loved, and stay safe while you are working out the details of getting your life moving to get to that point!

Well, a convention is only once a year or twice a year? And for many people, going to one is as difficult as making the stars align correct? So if I am correct, people only get to be their true selves.....what.....50 to 60 times in their lifetime? Assuming that the people that are attending are adults or close to adulthood. After the next 60 years they will be 80 or close to it..... if they have good genes or could afford to take good care of their health. So...I can kind of see where people get depressed. Perhaps in the next 60 years, society will be more open minded so that people don't have to hide their true selves.

EXCELLENT JOB , Ash!! FC and PAWcon always deliver THE BEST PARTIES in this Fandom!! I got to see Oddy do a set with the Cru on Saturday night at FC2024! NonStopPup was by his side! ODDY is AMAZING!! Great job focusing on the 4th floor parties at FC. Sadly, no Communist party or Klingons this year ;(. It’s ironic my room was featured at the very beginning of this video. I had 621 for FC 2023 AND 2024!! I helped Rod and Mark host their Y2K retro party and sat morning cereal party as their Hilton room got accidently cancelled. I helped them as they are dear friends of mine. BTW, please pray for Mark as he’s recovering from a series of strokes, and both Rod and Mark had to miss FC this past weekend. Bear hugs - Joe G Bear
In Hungary, for 2 years now I bring an old boombox to our con Örli. We have sooo much fun with it, they are really old and very bad sounding but we just live for it :DD also other chaotic things can happen at the campsite and I just love it aaaa Furry parties RULEEEEEEE

Partyprat is _so fabulous!_ It was a cute touch that the first HoaB image you showed in her intro was Beelzebub, then the episode went on to talk about the cru's mascot, Beezy! (pure coincidence, I'm sure) OMG, this Adventure Cru is amazing! I love them!
If they want to get involved in magick though, they should probably find an actual witch to guide them. (There must be *some* Wiccans in Furry. There's everything else!)

Well, Furry is a fandom. That means, (in part), that there's nobody in charge. It's managed en masse by the fandom as a collective, so to speak. The upshot is that nobody can say you're not a Furry. If you want to join, just start calling yourself a Furry, find other local Furs and hang out with them. (Start by introducing yourself, of course.) Then, if you find you don't like it after all, just do the reverse.

I'm not sure exactly where you're from, but I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere (UK middle of nowhere, I admit,) and we have at least 10 here. A good way to see what furries are nearby is to get BARQ, which is an app that I met my local community through :)

I just got to experience the party floor for the first time two nights ago and the Adventure Cru party was absolutely amazing. I really appreciate all of the work that went into this and I'm so happy I got to experience the creation of such a talented and fun loving group of people!
Great documentary! really well put together :) I learned a lot about the adventure cru. I didn't know their connection with Rainfurrest (RIP). It's interesting because RF is also the seed for the FC cuddle room, which is diametrically opposed chill parties :3

Now sure who can relate but my local furries are a clique-based drama-loving popufur-centric "culture" around "most fuckable" having the most friends and pretending its because theyre a good person, always resulting in that person doing something horrible with the confidence and getting rightfully cancelled/ further dividing the events into "cliques" which hate eachother but still show up for karaoke every week out of apparent spite for eachother

I took a lot of footage of these parties because they were and are, completely unforgettable and every time i revisit the footage i get taken back

Truth be told never been to nor invited to a room party. Idk if it's because I'm a girl and there is none that allows girls no clue. But anyways video ash can't wait to see what the next theme is for the next video .
I've been invited to some room party's. nothing as crazy as the ones in this video though. I tend to stick to the ones without alcohol. edit: I usually go to the staff party it has pizza.
Usually u don't need an invite, u just wander up to the party floor. I will say, it's not for the faint of heart 😅

I went to my first Adventure Cru party at FC2024, it was also my first FC! Best party EVER. I was surprised that some people have seen me around online, too! Had tons of fun, met new people, I can't wait for next FC!
