"Don't Invite Harry and Meghan!" Piers Morgan Debates Coronation Invitation

  • Piers Morgan is joined by historian Tessa Dunlop, former Conservative MP and Brexit MEP Ann Widdecombe, Sunday Times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah and former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond to debate whether King Charles III should invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to his coronation and whether their relationship can be saved after their Netflix documentary and now Harry's book.
Piers suggests the pair should be banned from the event, as all they have done is trash the monarchy. Jennie however believes that it would be "wise" to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and if they were to attend, the media should make it their objective to not let them overshadow the coronation.

On top form Piers! I agree with Ann's comment at the end - the coronation is not a family occasion, it is a state occasion & H&M should not be invited. There's a reason the Duke & Duchess of Windsor were kept out of the country after the abdication!

On its own is shocking .. in 21 st century , no one knows how much this family have racked and still they carry on ..and all these pathetic debates..

Also, our King is the one who turned the Duchy of Cornwall into a thriving business instead of sitting back & doing nothing. There's nothing to be ashamed about being successful; that's how he was able to give Harry millions!

For Windsor's sake strip the titles King Charles or make it clear they represent the Windsor name only not Winsor or the people of Windsor. Yes. And the monarch has the power to leave the most important and the most impressive & lasting legacy of modern times by healing the rift in his family. It’s easily done by having his wife step back and allowing the Princess Royal or his daughter in law to act alongside him in the offices, events & affairs of state. It’s not just the younger prince but both who can’t be blamed for struggling with this situation of having the woman who is responsible for the breakup of their parents marriage filling the position that, by rights was their mother’s and that she would have had, had the presence if “ the other woman”. not made it almost impossible for the marriage to have a fighting chance..
The younger prince, undoubtly, after stabilizing himself emotionally was risking that & his new found sobriety perhaps unable to live with the anger & resentment he felt at having to give deference, now & walk behind this woman. But her being crowned may have been the last straw.
You a should focus on your monarch and the injustice and absurdity of what is about to take place as these two who selfishly broke the sacred, solemn vows that they made before GOD and millions of people in marriage to their spouses are now about to take another sacred, solemn vow as your sovereigns and whether or not The Almighty will be approving and blessing such a thing.
The late Princess, by lineage was higher in order than “ the other woman.” How galling it must be for the Princes that a woman who was the other party in the demise of their parents marriage and who they may feel is responsible, in an indirect way for the loss of their mother, takes providence over them as blood royals and over every other blood royal including the Princess Royal. All because she snagged their father. It would, without doubt be different if he had married someone else, a woman of moral integrity. and that history wasn’t there. But it is and all the charitable works of a lifetime will not change the trauma & pain and the pain of loss that those Princes and the late Princesses’ family has suffered.
And it is shocking that you Brits are so easily forgetful and willing to overlook the fact that this was a tragedy that has marred the lives of those young men, forever. and make this woman queen when by rights their mother should have been and did nothing to deserve what happened to her, in losing her husband to another woman, in being asked for a divorce, or in losing her life at not being around to experience the joys of seeing her dons marry, be a mother-in-law and a grandmother……
If “ the other woman “ to step back and not be crowned snd titled queen the path would be made for a reconciliation and there could be some healing for both of the Princes as well as this being the right thing to do.

That Dr Tessa is so infuriating, she constantly defends Harry, for what, the lies, the people he killed. When he decided he was writing his memoir, his reason was, I have heard it that many times I practically know it of by heart. I am writing this book, not as the Prince I was born, but the man I have become. I have worn many hats over the years and we are more alike than we think. He knew what he was doing, who he was hurting, but simply didn't care, just like the way he described the Talban men he killed. King Charles deserves a proper Coronation, not worrying what his youngest son is going to do or even say if the book is anything to go by. He should want this event to go well, he's waited a long time for it. King Charles is already making it a shorter Coronation, what do the RF talk to M&H about, the weather is a safe bet, they can't be trusted, cuz there's a possibility it will be in Harry's next book

I’m actually reading the book, but in small doses, it makes me feel very upset,I don’t feel his pain through the lines I’m reading , I feel anger, victimhood and a child like man who’s never done something wrong and who’s definitely gone through a lot of mental issues. Jealousy, envy, anger, anxiety these are serious mental and emotional problems. I also see Avery calculated man. it’s always the others, never him. He portrays himself as this poor man who’s been badly treated, but through the chapters I see a bully, who diminishes his own family. It’s a book so charged with negativity, that I have to put it down and pause for my own mental health. There are many people like me who can’t feel compassion towards him, because we cannot simply relate. I simply can’t! I fled a war, I fled a country, I saw my father being sent to prison by a communist regime. I saw my parents struggle to put food on the table , because food was rationed. I left my country as a teenager, leaving friends, family etc. I didn’t see my father for almost three years until he was able to sponsor my mother and I, after he was granted asylum as a political refugee. Me too, I had a smaller room , bed than my brother, my brother never spoke to me in school either. He never waited for me in school so that we could walk home together and when he did I was left behind. Do I hate my brother of course not. My parents aren’t perfect until today. They make mistakes, they have their own struggles, own traumas etc. I actually have compassion towards them. My father did a good job, according to his own capabilities . My mother too they didn’t know it better. This book is an example of pettiness, greed and a vendetta. So sad. It’s a book that is not constructive in any way. It’s dirty, evil and morbid.

I'm sorry but if no had come into the equation a few times especially from KC we wouldn't have this horrendous mess we have to put up with now!! KC3 has another son who is heir to the throne. What ever he feels for his younger son, Charles' bigger responsibility is to Prince William and ensuring the monarch remains stable. Charles is the King, therefore his loyalties is to Great Britain. His mother understood this. Anyone who takes the reign must realize the great honor, sacrifice, and responsibility that
goes along with the job. In the end, there is no decision for Charles to make; Harry already did that for him when he opened his big mouth. Silence is golden; too bad Harry didn't
      follow that rule.

I've shared this before and haven't changed this:
    1. Harry is probably mind-controlled
    2. Harry compromised himself
    3. Harry is currently a serious security risk to the Monarchy
    4. Harry needs to be reprogrammed, which will take time and probably lots of money
    5. Harry may not participate - he's really going off the deep end, all of which were QE2's concerns and she was not agreeable to the marriage - yet look, she paid for their wedding because she loved her grandson. He also got $30 million as a departure gift when he left. Though blood is thicker than water, his place with the Monarchy is just that: blood relative.
Let's hope there can be patching up but it needs to begin with a BIG "I'm sorry" by Harry.
Meantime, the Monarchy cannot afford to have their security compromised.
