Problem 38 at 53:26: I think there is an other option: Disregard the single individual squares and look at them as triple row squares. If you go horizontally, you can see them as cold colored rows (blue, green, cyan), warm colored rows (red, yellow, pink) and dark colored rows (black, white and gray). You will notice that the rows they all swap positions vertically and thus you know quickly what the solution is. With this approach, "B" can be a valid solution, too.
Although you're technically correct. This is basically an oversimplification of the true solution and ignores the fact that the red and purple squares appear in the same column looking down horizontally. The b answer was included to throw people off who fail to take into account the column positions of the individual coloured squares.
If you find 2 viable options in an iq test you can be sure you havent found the principle yet, or you havent found the full principle yet and are not taking all factors into account. Thats why I sometimes stay for a little extra after thinking ive reached the correct conclusion and test my answer or look for other possible systems. Depending on how obvious the puzzle is.
How are we supposed to know that some shapes are meant to be instructions (and even more so what instructions) without having being told that is a possibility? Is this something you're supposed to understand intuitively?
Yes, iq test is basically you're given a completely random information, it is your job to somehow find a way to make sense of it and find some sort of pattern
A highly intelligent person will run through a series of logistical approaches until they find consistencies within the patterns. A less gifted person will just see a bunch of random symbols and objects with no apparent associations between them. You have to be very open minded and consider all sorts of things such a horizontal patterns, vertical patterns, diagonal patterns, rotations, flips, additions, subtractions.... etc. The most advanced questions will combine 2 or more of these things together requiring you to tackle the problem from multiple angles. The more open minded you are, the better you'll do.
i disagree on 37. there is no evidence that two reds can be there. there is however evidence that there can be multiple blues. blues move once over each time to the right one, and for each line blue shifts vertically downwards. you can predict the answer to be H, but you cant predict multiple reds on F. or at least there is less evidence for a pattern being there
Funny on 25th the way I did it was, I determined where the point inside the circle would end up next and since all the downward points were in black circle and upward points were in white circle, I guessed it to be white and the position of the point by following the pattern.
What is the maximum score when you answer all of them correct? When testing for the first time, the last question was the only one I left unanswered; but I dont know how many I got wrong. I scored 135.
In no way, can this test any intelligence above severe intellectual and/or psyciatric dysfunction. The rest can be learned with a few videos. Takes superior intelligence to evaluate the test subject. No traces of that superiority, with these types of tests.
Hold on obviously if you took this test twice and were exposed to the answers then yes you could perform better, but if you were to take another ravens progressive matrices test with different questions perhaps your previous testing would help you obtain a better score to an extent, but I doubt unless you were a high genius that you could figure out every question. I understand that many may act superior if they receive an exceptionally high score and have an extreme bias to I.Q. tests because they performed well, but this can also happen to those that achieve a worse score than they expected and dismiss the I.Q. test. I have no idea what you are saying stating that only severe and/or intellectually/psychiatrically dysfunctional individuals could be tested for intelligence using this I.Q. test, I.Q. tests can be used to measure anybody in the population disabled or neurotypical given they are capable of sitting down and taking the test.
46:52 I think my IQ ranges from 120 to 127, which is a difficult question that I couldn't answer on the test, but then I took the question on my own and took about 10 minutes to solve. Is it okay to solve difficult questions and stress your mind?
Awesome video. I wasn’t aware IQ test questions could be read diagonally - I had always restricted myself to horizontal patterns.

@@TellusJD yes, excellent test items almost never have 2 viable options, but mediocre ones sometimes.

I scored 128 before watching this video, which was higher than I was expecting. Those last 4 questions or so were frying my brain 😢
I think your description on 33 is a just a tiny bit confusing. Easier to overlap them. Nr 6 and 7 becomes 2, 3 and 8 becomes 2, 1 and 4 becomes B

這圖其實應該要 左至右 上至下來看 就合理了

145 i think
I took this test on my phone just then and got 124!
For the last five question I just chose random and at the end the result point was of 115
I have few puzzles I couldn't solve too bad no Facebook.

How much did you score on this? Please be truthful as this is for a personal study im doing on human psychology on social media
