I became a Mavs fan in 1998 during Jordan's farewell tour. I was a Bulls fan but being from Dallas I relized I should go for my cities team. We beat the Bulls in overtime and ever since then stuck with them through thick and thin, I never thought this moment would come. Its been a long time coming and after seeing everything the Mavs have been through the last 14 years I truely understand how hard it is to win one of these trophys. As a fan I am at peace with the Mavs. Dirk you can retire now.
