Keep adding to the list! What are your essential sewing kit items?!
Well we all know you've got the skillz to add an elastic wristband to the silk pincushion! Big love from Canada
Indeed! I've thought about it many times!
I would like to add:
Fray Check - seam sealant
Safety pins
Saved items for reuse:
Chop stick to turn
Medicine containers or spice jars - put old machine needles, buttons, bobbins, safety pins
Pencil and index cards or pad of paper
Bright light
Small trash bin
Oh yes I use all of these except fray check. Thanks for adding to the list!
Great list! Instead of a magnetic seam guide, I use a rubber band wrapped around my machine. I found it as a tip on a video, and it has made this beginners life easy 😂 I can move it easily based on the seam allowance I need, plus it helped me to sew straight stitches.
Great idea!! Sometimes I use masking tape to do the same 👌🏼
I'm a Crodino gal (to the topic of Chinotto, lol)! Anyway, thank you for a very useful video.
So helpful, thank you. I really like your video-making style-not too slow, not too fast, engaging but not too much. You’re so natural and delightful!
Thank you! A comment like this really means a lot.
That Japanese silk pincushion is just beautiful !
Ok … not useful yet ;-)
When you will have to work on a silk project ( or expensive fabric) and have to buy very long thin silk pins, you could use that pincushion for those “special pins for special silk fabric”.
On the other hand, you make me fallback in love with my wrist pincushion
I've sewn silk once and I don't think I'll ever do it again 🤣
