Scapegoating then becomes a learned family pattern being repeated down through future generations with the parent designating a favorite child and a rejected child. The target’s of the abuse experiences bullying, exclusion, ostracism or later even expulsion.

@Dominique McCloud Yeah about that amount apparently, although it's only right to say that it isn't just her personal wealth but it includes the value of everything she owns including houses, her production company and so on. She's worked hard for it, something many people didn't understand in her earlier career.

I won’t spoil the last episode but all I’ll say is that it was INCREDIBLE. The acting from the whole cast was the best I’ve seen in a long time. It was so realistic 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

@Tochi Chikwendu I watched the last two episodes today and I wanted more. I was hooked all the way through and the cast was spot on, not only with the talent but how they looked like relatives too. Even the earlier versions were ideal choices.
That final scene between Elena and Izzy was astounding (among many others) and I really hope they get to do a second season and more.

I feel like the TV show did a better job at giving everybody different reality checks. The actors did a really good job bringing these characters to life.

@@universalsoldier2293 , I think it speaks to Jackson's character that he wanted to be involved in a project about themes like this, even if he didn't get a lot of screen time. The TV series was based on a book...the husband didn't have a big role there either.

Watched this yesterday (Binged the whole thing) and it literally keeps you guessing until the end! We had 8 scenarios we discussed and we STILL didn’t get it! 😂 The acting was insane! Obvs expected from Kerry and Reese but the younger cast were fantastic! Particularly Lexi the actress who plays Pearl!

Little fires everywhere was amazing. One of the best shows i have ever watched. And not just because of the story, but the storytelling was just impeccable. Unforgettable. To tell such unique-to-themselves stories in such an individual and intimate way for each character, making the audience feel and connect with each and every character is just what made the story come alive… i am speechless! I want to know so much more! Annd im not even writing this when it’s finished its got 20 minutes left. Ive never seen such intimate storytelling done in such a beautiful beautiful way. I just love it. And the title just speaks for the whole story!!!! I love that!! It all fits. Its so hooking. Every episode every twist is just so necessary but unexpected!!! Im in love. It takes a minute to get into but omg is the journey worth it… 100/100. Claps claps all around👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 love it! Love it love it

I’m a native of Shaker Heights, and so much has changed since the 90’s in Shaker. We’re not as elitist as the book portrays us to be, at least not as elitist as the community was in the 90’s. Got to say I’m pumped to watch the show. It will be interesting.

Hearing Alanis Morisettes song in one of the episodes was slike SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT as I was a teenager in 90s obsessed with Alanis. and I still have that SEVENTEEN magazine you were the cover Reese, and posted on your instagram recently :)
I can’t put my finger on what about this show grabbed me and held me on my coach for a whole day... but it did that.. great acting .. great story.. great casting. I’m 43 and it definitely gave off that feel of the time period.
Finished watching the last episode last night, this show makes me want to be an actor, so loved this series and makes me wonder how much of it is based on truth in a community such as Shaker. Is there more of Little Fires to come???? I hope so. Very well acted and scripted, Reese Witherspoon was a stand out in this mini series, a true inspiration.

I didn't expect Megan to be so much like Reese! She has the same bubbly energy, which makes it all the more impressive they can both play against type in the show.
I giggled when they talked about being teens in the 90s. I was too and whenever I see something that takes place back then, I'm always very critical of the fashions and fads. I can spot it if it's not authentic, so it's cool that they wanted it to be authentic.
