So I would like to point out an error this video made. Tailmon is already an Adult form. Nefertimon is an Armor evolution, not an Adult form. Tailmon’s actual Child form is Plotmon which is a cute little puppy.

And the Digital World is as a matter of fact a higher dimension to the Real World and is in a superior hierarchical position to the Human World. So yes that's their skin ripping off.
What peels off for the Tamers evolution is literal skin. Yes Digimon are beings made out of data but Data in Digimon is not like data in our real life. In season 1 Gennai said that data is the equivalent of quantum particles. The same thing as the atoms and molecules in the Real World. In the Xros Wars manga the Royal Knight Duftmon stated that the 1's and 0's of Digital data can be expressed as matter and energy. Data was also said to be the same as electrons. In Cyber Sleuth when the Eaters induce Digital Shifts that turn reality to data in order to manifest in the lower worlds even the mind and the soul becomes data. When Erika studies Wormmon's body she finds out that Digimon avatars are more complex than human EDEN avatars and that they are like organic beings. When humans go to the Digital World their bodies get digitized. Their body,mind and soul become data. If you die in the Digital World you die for good. If there’s a Digimon that can manipulate souls you can get your soul manipulated. How are Digimon more complex than humans if they are data? Data or more specifically digital information in the form of Digital Wave was said to be energy coming from a higher dimension ( the Digital World is not a parallel world to the Human World but a higher dimension that stands in a hierarchical position superior to the Real World). She,Meramon and Agnimon are the incarnation of the Firewall, the defensive wall that protects the Digital World from intruder infiltrations.
