I really don’t know what kind of person would criticize what you are doing. So please, don’t waste a second of your life paying attention to them. What you are doing is so much bigger, and I guarantee you that for each one of them there is 100,000+ of us who appreciate you and are thankful. So true an we also went through the hards times then in our shop. We had a fire come into our shop from a business next to ours an at the same time a pipe broke in our house flooded 3/4 of it to the irs audit an was the time that we just wanted to give up. I was down from 5 employees to just 1 cause at the time none of us even had a place to work an when the fire department said we couldn't go back in the shop an remove our stuff I was like that is what you think an we got some friends an while they was still putting out the fire we was moving all the stuff outside lol. Had to let the guys go so they could get other jobs an I could find a place to move my stuff in pick up the peaces of what was left an move on. Was praying for every day to get better and it did an now 13 14 years later we are still going an can't thank the good lord for all he has done to get us through the hard times. We need him more today in our lives with all that is going on in the world today. Stay safe guys an God bless.
This is really good news. For the current environment, we need to work hard and not treat it negatively.
This message is so relevant in my life right now. I've been fighting, battling to move forward. Today I had the HMRC on the phone and one of our equipment financers along with 3 quarters due on rent, it's a tough place right now. Really tough, but I believe I can get through it, there is light at the end of the tunnel

As a custom auto/motorcycle painter/airbrush artist - I had so many bogus deals after things started to ramp up business wise that I had to just call it quits / be the bad guy and tell everyone to fawk off..... Maybe that's that hardship you're referring to but,, If I ever get back into it , I will definitely have to adopt a different business plan....

Titan. I need advice.
My supervisor on Friday brought me into the office and gave me a note with a company name and phone number.
He said works a little slow you should check this place out. I then went for a job interview later that day.
Bare in mind i have been working at this current place for 4 years.
Tomorrow i will go to work and possibly quit and go to this new place.
Im nervous i don't know how to think about it.
Im garenteed a job at this other place but working at this place for 4 years , its like home.
Whatever you do, don't make a choice based on loyalty. Loyalty will hold you back. You need to make a decision based on your happiness, financial needs as well as how you want to grow professionally. Do you think working there will suck? Does this new place offer you more financial freedom? More opportunities to learn the trade that will be useful in the future?
That being said, from your write up, I would consider two additional things:
-An employer who goes out of their way to provide you with avenues for the growth of your career seems like a good place to work at. Might be worth staying there if it's not stunting the growth of your career, or if you're already in a comfortable place.
-Is it possible that "work is a little slow" means that maybe you won't be needed soon? Maybe it's a sinking ship and he's giving you an out?
If your supervisor is doing this then he's telling you it's time to go, he isn't firing you, he is setting you up with a company he thinks you'll be a good fit with because he sees your talent or potential.

Well, I will tell you this so you can prepare if you work with custom inserts from Kennametal. Start working with sandvik or someone because they have literally closed the only customs inserts plant they had. Just a friendly piece of advice for anyone.

GOD always has a master plan for us. We may not understand why we go through the tough times when we do but we always take a turn for the better after learning from that prior event. Climb milling. Generally done on CNC as it is easier on tooling.
If work is slow they will cut cost, sounds like your boss is taking care of a good employee. Choice is yours.

You give me incouragement, I have a dream and eventough I am disabbled now I know that if I depend on god he will fulfill these dreams in his own way.
This became apparent in my life that when I quit praying for what I wanted in the partner god had for me less than 8 months later he placed the perfect person in my lap and said to me 2 simple words 'This one"! This person and I had been friends for 8+ years and neither one of us ever considered the other for more than a best friend. Life happened and less than 3 months after we met for the first time. Yeah we were online friends for years; we were married this was for us just shy of a year ago.
Every day we work on our dream of us and never letting things just become rote. Getting into a coumphertable existence and just going with it does not glorify god as we will never realise the dreams we have that were placed in our hearts by god.
God bless you and all your employees, prayers do help. Keep doing what you love and help the ones you love.

What are the point of these videos?
I watch some of these videos just for titans stories, but they got me thinking, why machining big chunks of metal when you can cast metal into any shape? Thus the whole process being more efficient.
I really want to know the reason
Casting only offers tolerances for rough measurements. CNC machining can take pieces to 1/10,0000 of an inch. This is a cliff note reason why you need to cnc
It depends on the volume. A small quantity is not more effective to cast (and then machine). Until you reach break-even, when you get the same price per piece there is a lot of room for optimizing the machining from blanks, such as different tools, parameters, machines, etc. In the automotive industry casting is the default. In the rocket-motor industry the cutting.
You can chase the micron on CNCs if you really want to, but never will with casting, casting still has post processing and can still have voids/inconsistencies. Material properties are slightly different or vastly different and need more processing to get to the same/ similar as just cutting a block. Molds need to be made still.
Castings are not as strong as solids
@@barrysetzer well even the big block is still a casting. It's melted metal poured into a big block shape, they didn't dig it from nature like that. Some said about precision. A mold keeps its shape all time, right? Why chase microns with a cnc when you can have the same cast over and over again.

Hey Titan, sorry if it sounds like I just woke up (just woke up and retired ten years) but why couldn't you supply the blog links to what we stopped surfing for to listened to your constant search for a better life?
I understand why you don't use coolant for filming but are the parts you're creating just junk or are the bits or tools useless and you're just making chips? Can't you use coolant with compressed air to keep the camera clean and the parts and chips cool? Goin back to bed, thanks.
Some materials (steel, cast iron, Aluminum) can be machined dry, but is not always optimal for finish or tool life. Other materials cannot be cut dry at all for many reasons. It IS possible to compressed air for keeping the camera/parts clean, but is not as good for filming as dry machining.
