@@cmanhanks1 Let me give you a bit of perspective, the main antagonist is an eldritch entity that is *made out* of suffering. It seeks to cause unending suffering everywhere to feed his own existence, and it the process it corrupts both the child and those daughters that fell in battle across the runs... Ok, that entity is considered tragic and not openly malicious when compared to how foul the deacon is. Rape, confining and torturing a child and then discarding him when he contracted a deadly disease. Suffering may be the force you have to stop, but EVERYTHING that happens in Othercide is the deacon's fault.

Late to the party to get this game but just finished it tonight after getting it a few days ago. This fight and theme feels like the finale of the game, with week 5 being more of a post game wrap up. I do love that they used an extended version of the menu theme for Suffering, but their theme doesn't hit nearly as hard as the Child's or Surgeon's, who are my 2 fav tracks.
Even though you know that there is another boss after the child, the music makes it seem like he’s the last boss, plus the child was way harder to face then Suffering himself. They do not hold back in music and gameplay, can’t tell you how many times I replayed the game
@Soundtrack Refinery I agree. Which is why I like it the way it is. The way I personally see it is that the Child really is the last boss. He's the bigger obstacle and your primary objective: to save him. Suffering is just the loose end that's making things worse.
