I like her version of it better then Chester's. I think Chester was great but I have never felt this song fit him. I think if you don't like it just don't listen. I think it is really disrespectful to the rest of the band to say it is not Linkin Park anymore just because Chester is gone.

They had to change a key for older songs since she had to make them her own with the same impact they have. She said in interview right after the comeback show that she and Colin (new drummer) had to sit down and make every song to feel as close as possible for/with her voice. Some people don’t like her singing old stuff, maybe it just has something to do with Chester but I personally love it, yes not everything sound as good as with Chester but the songs were made for him and she still does them justice, some songs I even love her singing it more.

My December was a song that I never really cared for. And I love soft, acoustic ballads. But I didnt care for it in either Reanimation of Hybrid Theory. But Emily Armstrong has brought a totally different light to the song. The melancholy, sadness and the emotions of the words on the page was conveyed in an excellent way in the singing and the harmonizing.
I do love this version! Yeah, you can check out it with Chester. They’ve done it different ways live, but not like this. Emily said in an interview that they practice this song everyday before they go on stage.
If you have the original album, you may not have this, as it was released as a bonus track on the later deluxe version. As others have said, Chester sang this live a few times.

It's possible that you're thinking of Keys To The Kingdom, it was performed live for the first time ever by Emily.
