I am looking for resources to learn the bass harmonica and I cannot find any. Did you find any, could you recommend maybe material designed for other bass instruments. Not much musical background here, just a harmonica player. It is a lovely instrument the bass one, mesmerizing.
I've not been able to find much education material on the bass harmonica specifically, but Liam Ward uploaded a video about bass harmonica not too long ago. Before taking up harmonica, I played trombone, tuba, and piano, so those experiences have really helped me as I've been trying to learn this instrument. Otherwise, I can't think of any detailed instructional material on this instrument, which is unfortunate. When I get better, I'll try putting together a Google Doc or something.
@@lanechasek5560 Thanks for replying, I'll look forward to that Google Docs. Somebody asked in Liams video and he found nothing either. I have been looking for tuba and trombone material to start playing some easy things. Seven nations riff is very easy, stuff like that.
It’s fairly easy to get started as it only has blow notes. Be sure to blow gently but steadily for the best tone. Sometimes articulating with the syllables “koi” or “kew” helps.
i've been working on "alfie" on my chromatica maybe i can work the bass into it. i also need a chord harmonica, they seem to be expensive.@@lanechasek5560
I think Simon and Garfunkel used it on ‘the boxer’ my fave song of theirs
Awesome, can you review their mini bass as well please?
Ich habe so eine Mundharmonika noch nie so deutlich gesehen. Danke. 👍👍👍👍
Ok, you talked me into it, just bought one brand new for $79 + free shipping on eBay (actually $99, it had a $20 coupon).
good review ,thanx

You should do some sublime bass lines
From where did you bought this?
Where could I find this? How could I get this? Where do I find this ? instrument?
Amazon. It’s cheap compared to other bass harmonicas. About $130 when I got it.
It’s on eBay 90 bucks
Thankyou
You're also very good 😊
What do you say @12:38? Is it Sci fod? Is it some musical term I don't know? Or are you saying Sci fi? thanks!
@@sirpercivale “sci fi”
@@lanechasek5560 Ok! It does sound very sci-fi :) Thanks for quick reply
How does it compare to a Tombo Bass Harp please?
@@sirpercivale I’ve unfortunately never tried Tombo’s.
the thing is like a brick. i bought the smaller pocket version but have to figure it out. where do i start? i have diatonics and chromatics.

Oooeee👍👏👏👏
Thanks. You seem to only play the lower notes pretty much. I wonder whether bass harmonicas with only the lower notes exist.
There is a pocket version from East Top with just eight notes that’s pretty affordable. And yeah, I prefer the low notes on this bad boy, lol.
@@lanechasek5560 For some reason both have the same price on Amazon.
You can also buy regular blues harmonicas in "Low" or "Low Low" keys. Like the Low D or Low Low D.
@@jgmastiff1313 thanks
It sounds like a bullfrog 😂😂😂
