Fix manga black levels in Tachiyomi/Mihon with overlay blend

  • Important for e ink, but also nice for normal screens too. Just use the Overlay color filter with a per-manga alpha adjustment.
    This app used to be called Tachiyomi. I'm using a Hisense A9 e ink smartphone running android 11.
    Kindle Comic Converter already does something similar with a gamma correction.

    I forgot to mention I'm using the Overlay blend mode. You need to use the custom color filter with a medium alpha and the overlay blend mode.

    How do you fix this on kcc if you have a kindle?

      Kcc does something similar by default.

      @@eink-reviews very cool…so any download via kcc you don’t have to do anything additional to get similar results,

      @@zunair95 you can disable the black level adjustment on kcc by setting gamma=1.0 if your source is already dark enough.
