BTS aged like fine wine. They went from boys with ambitions to fine professional young men. I'm guessing that's why their journey is interesting. They are branching out to new styles, polishing their skills and mastered their craft through the years! BTS only make high quality masterpieces.

The best part about BTS' glow ups is that the boys have matured into confident self-assured men that don't feel the need to conform to 1 style, be it in music, looks or fashion, to be accepted. They grew into who they were meant to be and not who people wanted them to be.

The hobi being low energy during predebut is actually correct. In one of the vids (I think yearly festa) Yoongi(?) would say that he was the most depressing person he's ever met. Hobi changed bcz of his name J-Hope. That's why in his song (hope world I think) he would say "My name is my life."

Hobi was always bright and goofy and hopeful, but predebut you could see the cracks showing and him struggling to believe in himself. But after their debut, he fully took on his persona as a messenger of hope and had continual faith in himself and the other members, and that everything would be okay.
For me the one who glow up most is jungkook not in looks but personality wise, a shy introvert boy to a young man breaking many stereotypes in Korea, doing what he wants to do, showing what he wants to show nd living his life to the fullest with loved ones.
Recently in soop 2 loved how he spending his time with caring bam, doing mini concert for army, he's such a inspiration, he went thro so much for last 2 yrs n even today but he always rose up like phoenix.
I'm so proud of him...
Korean beauty standards are really odd... to me Hoseok is the most handsome even predebut. Like, his sharp but pretty features?? His heart shaped smile? His cuuuute cheekbones??? He's so delicate but toned at the same time! 😍💕

It’s true that Hoseok were less happy go lucky and more depressed, and even tho he has embraced his stage name he is actually a lot mor calm behind the cameras and not so animated like people think of him.. but no matter his personality, I love him regardless

Jimin used to diet himself so much. Only eating like one meal every ten days if sumn like that. And he used to pass out after dance rehearsals and practices because he was so tired. That man deserves everything he has and more. He's (and obviously all of them) been through so much. I just, ugh I love him so much🥺💜✨
It was one meal a day for ten days actually. So within a period of 10 days, he ate 10 meals instead of 30.

All I want to say is "I hate beauty standards"..... I never understood the point of fitting in the beauty standards to get success.
Why do they want everyone to look "perfect". Perfection is subjective. It's different for everyone. Everyone is perfect in their own terms. You don't have to be perfect in anyone else's terms.
Become a better version of yourself not someone else because you are unique, you are "beautiful", you are one of a kind, you are humble and generous and most importantly you are (I'm)perfect !!

About the J-Hope low energy personality it's kind of true. I remember Namjoon saying when he met him he thought Hobi was the saddest person he ever saw as a joke but we now what he meant because now Hobi is full of joy and energy. Actually, they talked about what change, how the members where before and now at the 2019 FESTA. When they talked about Hobi and his name is in the 21:45 minute. In jimin’s case, about being need to be masculine. Since their debut song, no more dream, their choreographer told jimin that his part will be showing abs. He already had abs during pre dedut but he got so pressure to have them more define. And the reactions of him showing abs are so hype that leads him to go to extreme diets and work out to keep his “masculine” image to “satisfy” the fans

Compared to the Western beauty standards, Koreans, in general, tend to pursue cuter and feminine looks, at least when it comes to faces.
Looks are super important to the Korean society many can't get jobs if they dont fit the "cpmpany imagine " no matter how smart you are. So Koreans consider cosmetic surgery as bettering yourself. Cosmetic surgery so SUPER common too.

the problem with korean beauty standards is they just like one type of look and if you don't fit into that you're 'ugly'
so namjoon and hobi who don't quite fit into it are considered that way even though before i even KNEW bts like that i though namjoon was the most attractive (v is my bias now bc i identify most with his personality but i still adore joon)
that's one thing i don't like about korea is how harsh their beauty standards are and how it's only one particular look
both hobi and namjoon are 23083042304203402394 out of 10 so it's literally so silly
walk around irl and you won't find one guy as attractive on the street
i feel bad for any idol having to live up to that pressure and no wonder korea is one of the top places for plastic surgery (and i'm not against it but it sucks bc the beauty standards are so particular you may get plastic surgery to 'fix' something that is only not desirable there i'm also not saying bts has gotten it bc i don't think they have but if they have that's okay too)
