Exciting stuff starts at 2:11
This car is absolutely everywhere in France. This is what people want, big fat suvs with small (yet relatively vivid) engines. But at least it’s 4 cyl
For a lot of countries, this is considered a small SUV, even though it has a much larger boot than the Qashqai or CX-5. Australia, United States and other countries prefer medium-sized SUVs.
Good review!
The factory claimes 9.9" in 0-62mph(100km/h) . 10.14" in 0-100km/h it's almost identical !
+pdrivetv Best regards from Chile friend, when the Haval H6 turbo 2020.🇨🇱💪🏻
New mic ?
Interesting to see similar kW power output but slower than Kia Cerato S sedan from 0-100 sprint.
The Renault is 100kg heavier, has larger diameter tires (53mm larger) and has a less aerodynamic profile.
If you look closely at 3:55 the horsepower and newton meters dials doesn’t go to their max... That means the electronic system is holding down the power because probably this car is in his first kilometers... Maybe after 4000-5000 kms the engine can produce the maximum power and torque.
Francis Rossi eco mode I think 🤔
Quentin _ it’s a possibility
I totally agree with your hypothesis. Mine has driven 4000km and the gauges fill completely. On other tests, this 160 HP does 9 seconds, not 10, and it feels faster than that.
Hi could you please tell me where the diverter valve is located
This same engine is served in Nissan Kicks Turbo 1.3ltr this year in Indian model.
also a lot of recent Mercedes models
@@uA_1905_hY yes buddy
Kadjar??? Sounds like the name of a taxi driver.
Hold on, there is something I don't understand. The Qashqai with the same 1.3L turbocharged engine, paired with a dual-clutch gearbox is able to do the century sprint in about 8 seconds. The Kadjar and the Qashqai also have a similar kerb weight and even share the same underpinnings. The only difference I can find between the two is the Kadjar's EDC (Wet clutch DCT) as oppose to the Dry clutch DCT on the Qashqai. How is the Kadjar so much slower?
Is that Nissan's claim? Renault claims 9.6 for this model.
PDriveTV If I didn’t remember wrongly, their official claim for the century sprint was 9.9 sec. But there are several YT videos floating about that showed that it could achieve it in about the high 8s (It is not measured by vbox thou). Regardless, it should be safe to assume that it is still faster than the kadjar.
@@DogInANautSuit Fair enough. We ran this car multiple times and with various take-off methods (as we usually do), and this was simply the best it achieved using our Vbox Sport. Temp was 24 at time of testing.
I have this one as a work car, slow as shit without any pick up... this engine is just not good enough for that size, yeah, it's economical, no surprise. Good soccer mom car though.
1.33 turbo, but wich power 140 hp or 160 hp ?
It's the 260Nm version, the information is in the description.
Shame it doesn't have a turbo diesel. To sell in Australia it would need to drive away at less than $27k
Looking at the prices now (there's 10 available around Sydney), they are the most cost effective SUV in our market. $28K for a mid-range Zen demo with less than 5000km. Incredible.
Are they diesel?
@@waynehobbs5175 no all petrol. No passenger car sold by Renault here is diesel anymore. They previously had the Koleos in AWD diesel, some of which are available used.
Diesel?
Turbo petrol
Big car but lightweight
Please drive normal not like a racing driver. You cant hear anything. I wanted to check if you can hear the turbo high sqeeking noice or high frequency kick in at 1500 rpm
Diiesel plus hybrid nice
Turbo petrol
Big car small engine
@GabryConqueror44 Why?
True the engine is very small I have this car and fells like a turtle
@@magnumabi3246 I have the 160 HP version. It does not feel like a turtle at all, it's responsive, and I prefer how it drives to my old 2.5L CX-5. Feels more dynamic with the turbo with low-range grunt, as every review has pointed out.
I like Australian made cars and there is nothing to buy.
Same engine has the new CLA class... that s how shitty MB has become!
Not shitty at all. Mercedes and Renault engineers developed engines together for many applications and have done this for many, many years. The best of both worlds - a new modern architecture, reliable timing chain instead of a belt, efficient on fuel and regenerative braking, low emissions and smart. This is the Mercedes M282 and Renault H5Ht engine btw, in different tunes with slight variations. The Mercedes version adds cylinder deactivation which is an intelligent feature.
Thats weak. First 100 km/ h needs entire 3 gears and this stuff hardly goes...
@Choukei_San Boy you got me slayed Im dead 🤣
You need to drive the Kadjar to see how responsive it feels. The turbo and low-range power is excellent. I don't know anyone that has to floor it from 0-100. In fact, the 60-110 time is the same as the old 2.5L CX-5.
What a shitbox. Who keeps buying cars like this?
I agree much better options eg mitsi asx, Mazda cx3 you know long term reliability good resale value unlike Renault /Nissan dog and lemon brand which seem to experience major probs after the warranty period expires
Not my cup of tea but serves it purpose and everyone has on lease now so warranty doesn't matter
Shitbox are cars like tesla, not this Fabulous car
