Indeed & el bueno time on this week when stream The Beautiful Acolyte S01E05 via D+ 🧘♂ Trip into Galaxy Far, Far Away awaits 🙂 Pst: I did restream S01E02 & S01E04 twice 😋 Enjoy o/
It’s refreshing to see a take on episode 3 of The Alcolyte that isn’t going on and on with negative rants. It’s an interesting show and we are only three episodes in. We are just learning about the coven, more mystery is raised, and there are 5 more episodes to go. Hopefully, it gets renewed. It has a big story to tell.
Its easy to be negative and I appreciate MT, Tommy and Brett/Whitney for just enjoying things. I think I've hit don't recommend on 20 different star wars channels based on the thumbnails and titles. My Pristine oven mitts and my love for the Pal Ad Xy keeps me coming back. That cliffhanger ending tho. Much love to the Palaxy.
Wow, great take MT! Pitching this series as depicting the rise of the dark side and the origins of the sith, it finally makes sense to me why this show was greenlit. So who is this acolyte anyhow, Mae?
EXCELLENT podcast my fellow gentlemen. Thank you so much. I have been battling the comment sections of many a youtube channel to my dismay. You, fine sirs, are a breath of fresh air. Bravo!
I feel like Anakin is still different from the twins. The twins were made with rituals, but lore as well as quotes from George Lucas seem to point more to Anakin being conceived by the force itself as a reaction to Plageis/Sideous’s experiments. so he’s an immaculate conception, while the twins are more artificial. (Also the writer of the comic with the panel of palpatine standing next to pregnant Shmi skywalker confirmed it was just a dark side vision manifestating a fear anakin had)
😊 hey guys love your podcast as always cause I miss you guys. I always enjoy listening to my podcast Pantheon, reel rejects, you guys, new Rockstars, break room, and of course, heavy spoiler. Reason is I get different perspectives and then it gives me a chance to keep thinking and figuring out different ways of looking at these episodes of Star Wars. Whether intentional or not, I am now leaning towards the feeling that we will never see a true balance of the force. It is always going to be constantly swinging between dark and light and the goal is to constantly look for balance and find balance, but like everything in nature, it is always the struggle to find it not achieving it. The Sith do not try to look for balance, but they’re looking for is power, but they’re constant fear of the power is why they have the rule of two. The Jedi try to look for balance, but they never will because they are denying their Darkside instead of accepting it they would rather control it Which then causes unhealthy swing the other way because they think they’ve achieved balance now they want to propagate that philosophy, whether you want to accept it or not which leads them to have to constantly monitor or control what force sensitive beings are doing if they do not join the order or cannot become Jedi. It’s weird because the more you think about it it’s basically two opposing forces trying to control this energy in the universe that apparently a lot of people have access to whether they know it or not.
😮 I cannot seem to let this go. I did a quick look up at how old. Jiinn was when he joined the Jedi. Without giving a specific age they said that he was a boy. Kenobi is specified as three years old and it is said that it was late in life. I have the theory that those who joined a little later in life the Jedi have a little more well-rounded sense of self which lends to understanding the force a little bit differently than those who start from either birth to whatever the youngest age is and just only know the Jedi way. Kenobi was a stickler for the rules when he was young. Jinn had a little more of an easy-going way about him, but he was actually older. He wasn’t like a newborn or young born into the Jedi. I think that’s why the Jedi possibly created an edict to try to recruit the children as young as possible before any other philosophy was instilled into their head.
I absolutely love this podcast, I enjoy the comments, and I'm happy this channel is just pleasant. I find so many hateful comments towards creative choices on the other channels, it can almost poison your soul. Thank you all(hosts and patrons) for being beautiful.
I totally agree with MT's theory. I think he's spot on about the identity of the masked Dark master (Mother Koril?)and his or hers possible motivations to strike at Master Indara and the rest of the Jedi stationed on Brendok. Well thought out MT. 😉
I'm not ready to give up yet. It's not as good as Andor, but it's also not as bad as Rise or Boba, and nowhere near as bad as some of the old stuff from the 80s. Ewok movies and cartoons anyone? I suppose it could flub the landing like Secret Invasion, but we're only 3 episodes in and they clearly said it was like Roshomon, so I'm willing to give it a chance.
Fair, I was hung over and talking out my ass here. My note was really about the stiff camera work and poor blocking impacting the acting. These are problems that show up a lot due to the volume but aren’t inherent to it. Generally they might just be a challenge of doing Star Wars/large scale sci-fi on TV budget. I was definitely thinking more about my grievances with Obi Wan than Acolyte in this moment, but yeah it was a poor addition to the conversation.
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. There's nothing that says that two people can't just wear the same mask. I bet the masked figure is BOTH mothers. That would play into the theme of duality. I think Qimir is most likely Darth Plagueis, and he is Apprentice to the masked figure.
24:34 No volume there 🙂 Good time on this week when stream Beautiful The Acolyte S01E05 via D+ & enter to Galaxy Far, Far Away 🧘♂ One of the crew members said that it's longer than previous & both before or other. I hope that every platform starts using actual length without end credits to episodes list 🤞 There are also other telly shows where end credits roll 4-6mins & that time is included into list ✅ Always when i stream at home i use "65 Led Telly & 5.1 wireless headphones. I love soundtrack, cinematography, on location set, wardrobe & most dialogue in The Acolyte 🙂 - Always D+ Sub, not a simp & neither shill (darn those giggidy words) - 🙂
😊 you know, without going into specifics, if you look at the Lord of Jedi of to now with everything‘s going on, you started out with literally one Jedi supposedly who tells this fairytale story of Warrior priests who control this ultimate power and the universe because there’s nobody else. Then you flash backwards to a time where this one ultimate being is born while the Jedi are around, but they don’t all seem to be all that mystical as a matter fact, they seem a little more political at this point. Flashback to watching now where the Jedi or at a point where they are spreading their philosophy across the universe and literally trying to control the destiny of civilizations who have the ability to tap into the force into how they view how it should be very interesting. Oh yes, and the most obvious part is the fact that they try to get them as young as possible so they don’t have any type contradictory philosophy to their way of life.
I don't think the twins know/consider Koril their mother, in the sense of the person who loves and raises them. It seems to me that the entire coven use the term Mother in the same sense that nuns refer to each other as Sister. They made a point of having the twins refer to her as Mother Koril as opposed to Aniseya that they just called Mother.
First off let's get this straight...I'm not a fan I am a customer. A fan implies I do this shit for free. No I have money invested by action figures, movie tickets and etc. So now I am not a fan!!!
😮 i’m not big on reading everything and watching everything Star Wars, but if they have already written stories and characters that have gone either way either with Sith or with Jedi and have left to do their own thing, then I am feeling a dare the ones they have a better understanding of how the force is supposed to work in this universe not one side or the other.
Anyone think that the Koril / Aniseya good mom/bad mom dynamic may be misdirection? Maybe the masked Sith is actually Aniseya. She's the one that 'created' the twins, if we're to assume that this requires significant mastery of the dark side of the force then she could be at the same level as Sidious or Plagueis. On the other hand, maybe it's meant to be more ambiguous just how 'dark' their practices are when it comes to conceiving children.
I think the coven's religion was poorly developed. So it's harder to Force push two people than it is to push one person? Two is more than one and many is more than two? It's like they're teaching toddlers. Maybe if the show had developed their beliefs more and showed how they can collectively use their powers to do something special, not just becoming stronger but doing something an individual Force user isn't capable of at all, it would have given more context to their chanting.
I got to say you three are the ONLY ones who have not trashed this show. This show is trash. Bad acting, bad writing and logic. How on earth can you three give this show positive reviews. WOW
I am not a Star Wars fan who hates everything. I enjoy most of what they do and can at least understand what I don’t love. I have to say, this was the worst episode of Star Wars I’ve ever seen. I love what they TRIED to do, and I think I see where they’re going. It’s kinda intriguing. But they also missed the landing so badly, and they’re making some major mistakes. The chanting was so cheesy, the twins make Anakin no longer special, etc. But the one thing I really hate is that they’re making me agree with the horrible, incel haters online who claim Disney has gone woke every time they cast someone who wouldn’t have gotten by in Nazi Germany. I legitimately see way too much agenda woven into this, and I can’t focus on the intrigue. I love the Kymir mystery! I like the Rashamon idea. But they’re going to mess these things up on the delivery, and episode 3 made that clear to me. Love you guys!
This doesn't make Anakin any less special. The witches manipulated the force somehow, most likely with the Dark Side to make the twins. The Force itself created Anakin. It's not that hard to understand.
@@bkwrm I understand it just fine, but it does make him less special. He was the only force based immaculate conception on Star Wars. Literally called a chosen one myth. Now there are force based immaculate conception twins like 2 generations earlier? That reduces the uniqueness (or “specialness”) of his story. Why is Qui Gon so incredibly shocked at this? Apparently the Jedi saw the same thing not very long ago. Lastly, it wasn’t just the force that made Anakin. It was a dark side user (Palp) just like with the Twins (Mother A). This is a perspective or opinion. Not sure how you can just call it incorrect and blame it on not understanding.

"The volume" is such a weird thing to bring up up since this show never shot a single scene in the volume. All the sets are practical and on location

Gimme Tenebrous. I wanna see the Bith Sith
If torbin felt they were doing the right thing at the time. Was the mistake separating the girls or does it have to do with the deaths of the coven.
I think they faked their death so people can stop looking for them
I'm calling it being a false flag attack. The witches either provoked the jedi or offed themselves using Torbin/Kalnacca as their puppets.
First off let's get this straight...I'm not a fan I am a customer. A fan implies I do this shit for free. No I have money invested by action figures, movie tickets and etc. So now I am not a fan!!!
