A return visit to the Crowne Plaza at Manchester Airport

Decided to stay another night here before flight related things.
Last few times, I booked the base room for around £88-£113 and was upgraded to a 4th floor club room, perhaps due to my diamond status.
This time I used some points and ended up on the 2nd floor, so no upgrade.
Whilst not a club room, the room, to be honest, was pretty much the same except for no coffee maker that I didn't like the coffee from anyway. Also, the rainfall shower didn't do anything, but compared to previous rooms, water pressure and perhaps water temperature were a little better.
Got lounge access anyway as I have a lounge pass (selected as a reward last year for staying 40 nights in IHG hotels).
Took the breakfast as my diamond amenity (choice of breakfast, drinks vouchers or points). Breakfast is always the best option if time allows (breakfast starts at 5:30am here, so plenty of time before having to be in the terminal for 7am or so)
Filmed a bit of it this time. Food was in open trays rather than (what I assume were) terrines with lids on previous occasions.
Did take a look at the third floor which is still being renovated.
When I stayed a few days prior. there was no carpeting on that floor, but they had laid some, that matched the other floors, in the few days since.
Could possibly add another 81? rooms once that's completed.
