I'm amazed at how your children adapted to changing their names and makong aliyah. You chose beautiful and meaningful names. I was born in Israel, but my parents called me Sherry from day one, but my birth certificate (and now driver's license, American passport, etc.) have my legal name, Sharonah. I've always hated both. I've had a lot of minor to moderate health issues and I've had 15 surgeries. I was told that if you are in a horrible state of health (like, close to death), you can change your Hebrew name to try to fool the Angel of Death. If I have to undergo more surgery, that's what I'm going to do! As for moving to another country, I was four years old. I lost my mother tongue, my identity, and my self-confidence.

some of my friends converted - for them it was something they felt in the spirit - Jews believe in the eternal self which stores endless knowledge - if you are attracted to Judaism then Hebrew will be easy for you as its knowledge is stored in your soul.
I was advised against researching other religions but I can't help myself I just watched the first half of a Shabbat service online and have been researching Islam also. I'm still a Christian I just feel a draw to research other religions and learn. I feel guilty for this and then I don't I just don't understand where I'm at in life right now.

My husband and I let uor childrin choose there names in the wonb (wothin names that we see fit), their is alwas have an option to change the name after brith. It never happened.

Actually, Ashkenazim do not name their children after anybody living. The Sephardim on the other hand, will.
