Nice review -- I have had the Double Boiler version and smart grinder for 2+ years -- but I also need to buy one for my beach house. I'm thinking of buying a Touch and moving the messier one down to the beach. The machine is highly customisable - for example I drink ~Dbl Sht Lungo (less water than americano) with a small about (10-15%) of milk/foam -- a Cafe Misto. I am hoping this is programable as a preset.
Excellent Review. One question: How can I change the amount of beans for the espresso shot? Or do I have to run the grinder twice when using the filter for a double shot? Thank you.
Raw Product Reviews Actually you can adjust the grind itself. You use the included Allen key and adjust the tamping fan. It seems like pretty much all youtubers who have reviewed this machine incorrectly stated that you can't.
There is no bypass right for a different bean or decaf ? Can you set this to turn on at a certain time ? Have you tried to run some hot water and a cup and see if there's any particles floating in the water ? have had two Breville infuser's both of which had white particles floating in the water for several months before it would clean up I've always been worried about whether or not it's been plastic I have tried to flush the system using lots of water but it takes a long time to get rid of the particles . Using an older one with the new one the new one only use it for shots old one for water when making like Americanos that way i don't get all those particles floating in the water it's ridiculous I don't think I could buy another Breville
No bypass for different beans, you can program to get your machine ready but not brew. I did not see any particles on my machine, I use hot water often.
I’m so going to buy this machine awesome video thankyou just a quick question when would you add your syrups to your latte before extraction or after ??? eg: vanilla or caramel)
Seattle Coffee Gear says to start the milk first and wait until the temperature hits about 130 or so before extraction start. Did you find the coffee hot enough by doing both at the same time?
You absolutely right, coffee is still hot but if you want perfect cup a coffee you have to wait for about 120 to 130 depends if you do double or single.
Can you show a video of just getting hot water...... i am looking at a touch or no touch...... in Australia only $400 differentiates But i use hot water a lot
Ok yes this machine is $2,500 bucks. But it's Breville. They make high quality stuff. Not for poor or cheap people. I'm sure it's worth it if u want very good coffee at home.👍👍👍
Not sure why you think the coffee tastes better.. its the same internals (double boiler) - just with a fancy new interface and an inferior grinder.. better off buying the double boiler version and a $400 grinder... you'll be happier in the long run!
pesto12601 I agree. This newer vision is $1000 more than the previous one, and this new vision only adds a touchscreen. I actually like the idea of using a portafilter and frothing the milk myself versus the super automatic machines.
The machine smells and tastes like plastic until you run water through it about a dozen times... I would NEVER drink something from it without going through this process.... more power to you! Also, I wouldn't bang the portafilter on that metal base.. it is really easy to scratch and you will not be happy after about a dozen times of doing so.. put a cloth down and banga-banga on that if you feel the need...
pesto12601 I was wondering about that there are two Breville infuser here both of which for the first few months if you fill up a glass of hot water you can see a little particles floating in the water little tiny white ones I contact Breville assured mean nothing to worry about right . So I was curious if they're more expensive machines or built better without issues such as those as it smells like plastic I won't be surprised if there's particles in the water to
If it breaks.. just call them and they will take care of you.. my breville oven when on the fritz after 3 years.. .they sent me a refurbished model for no charge as a replacement.... great customer support!
Do not buy this coffee machine, raw coffee is utterly disgusting, do not mix it with milk and see how you like it, i had previous version barrista express where u had to do manual and i adjusted the settings to a point where a taste of espresso single or double was deliciously potent, now with oracle touch even though u can adjust the grind manually (which i did) with a perfect pour consistency and perfect timing the end result of espresso comes out utterly disgusting, you have same amount of coffee to produce either single or double espresso on double espresso only 5 sec are added, now logically speaking it will not taste the same if youd extract from lesser amount of ground vs from larger amount- therefore oracle is a bad choice, do not buy it, manual barrista express is a lot better
Top Unboxing Video! Is it possible to put the most used milk back in the fridge end use it again? Thanks!
I have done it, not sure if that's proper way to do it :)

I am lucky because i am married so i just tell my wife what coffee i want.

Hi, the amount of beans always same but you can control if you want Double Shot or Single, also you can custom brewing time for more extraction.

Before and I like both :)

Temp will unaffected as it is a dual boiler.
nice save right before extraction. i have forgotten to put a cup under at least five times :)
Very good review, thank you. The specs say that the height is 18", does that include the coffee bean holder?
Thank you, yes 18' with coffee bean holder.

How would you compare it to the previous Oracle? Worth the upgrade?
I think if you coffee lover , it's worth it not only because it's a touch screen also coffee taste better.

Thank you! Excellent review.

I like it!

For the price it should have a better warranty 2yrs not good
If it breaks.. just call them and they will take care of you.. my breville oven when on the fritz after 3 years.. .they sent me a refurbished model for no charge as a replacement.... great customer support!
