Ahh Charmbracelet ✨✨💫 . Well now we have entered the next phase of her Career. After the Glitter mess & the 1 sided split from Virgin Records, Mariah took some much needed time off to rest, physically, Mentally and emotionally. She used this time to connect with her Dad (Alfred) who was dying of Cancer . His health was so sensitive, by this point, that the Only flowers that didn't give him an allergic reaction were Sunflowers 🌻🌻 . She had been approached by Jay Z and ultimately her friend Antonio L.A. Reid (formerly of LaFace Records, co-owner w/Babyface) who was now the Head of Def Jam /Island Records. She ultimately Joined & with a new sense of Security, Maturity and Support from her new label. This album didn't get the proper marketing and promotion it deserved however it Proved the doubters that she still had alot left in the Well of Vast Talent (Vocally and Lyrically). She did a Charmbracelet World Tour (her Band Intro Interlude is Phenomenal, especially the L.A. show) she did several Live TV performances including the today show NBC, Oprah as well as an MTV special (Shining Thru the Rain). Tho this isn't a commercial success by Mariah standards, Lambs Love this album rightfully so. A Precursor of what's to come up next in 2005s , TEOM. P.s. In between this album and TEOM ,she released The Remixes ,a 2 sided album (1st side Club remixes, extended versions & 2nd is Hip Pop , Rap , R&B remixes.)

I love " through the rain " & she does a Def Leppard cover of " Bringin on the heartbreak " Mariah still has it going on! Yes the massive comeback of all time is next- " The Emancipation of Mimi " which took her to a whole another level & the first album where she was truly her & truly free. When you get to this one be sure to react to the " Ultra Platinum Edition of TEOM. This one has the 4 bonus hits where one of them " Don't Forget About Us " became her 17'th #1 & I absolutely love that song. That entire album is straight 🔥. You will love it! Cant wait for you to hear it just like all the rest.

The only song that’s spent more weeks at #1 from Mariah is “one sweet day” which spent 16 weeks at #1. But anyways, not only did this album grant her song of the decade for the 2000s and made every fake weirdo like her again, but the song “we belong together was so huge it blocked another Mariah song from going #1 lmao, and that was “shake it off” which WOULD’VE peaked at #1 if it wasn’t for “we belong together”, so it only made it to #2 and fun fact, “pon de replay” by Rihanna also peaked at #2 because it was ALSO blocked by “we belong together”. Mariah being a New yorker doing westcosast hip hop. She is one of a kind and this album is an absolute masterpiece
