Its amazing how you convert the mess of paint in the first few minutes into a beautiful painting. As an Aussie all I can say is "good onya mate!"
I’m so excited about your new concept of painting an around the World Series. I’m now retired from a 45 year + travel industry career and am working on a My Travel Journal project, a written and painted journal of my life through my travels. I haven’t done an entry in over a year and maybe this will motivate me to get going. I’m still in 1982 so still have another 40 years to go.
Oh...you are So excited, not no excited. Got it
@@judygainer1766 thanks I corrected it
Thank you for resurrecting a love for painting that had been quenched by self-doubt and self-criticism. You have freed me from that and got me trying again after a 40 year absence. You have brought back the joy, even in the mistakes, and I cannot thank you enough.
I vote for Iceland. Thanks for your tutorials, I look forward to them every week.
🇦🇺greetings from rural Australia! Thrilled to be painting this and looking forward to tripping around the world via my paint pots! Thank you for reading my mind!! 😂
What an amazing idea. Thank you Paul. I'm looking forward to your tutorial .....on some Greek island landscape..... 😊
Thanks again Paul. Often find the colours of our Aussie landscape tricky. Ta for the tips
You absolutely got the blue & mostly the red dirt. If you travelled to the red centre, the colours are out of this world. Thank you for bringing the colours of my home to life.
Thank you Paul for another fabulous tutorial! I look forward to your your weekly tutorials as well as Margo's challenges. In between, I catch up watching and painting some of your past videos. I love your idea for a "watercolors around the world" series for the new year. I would love to see a tutorial of a Santorini rooftop sunset in the Greek Islands.
Lovely composition..always like the dry brush effect especially on the trees…looking forward to “around the world” paintings..of course ,in western Canada the “Rockies” are a must
Most of my paintings are Australian landscapes. It's where I live. Queensland, to be precise. The "Sunshine State". It gets intolerably hot around Christmas. Queensland also has the dubious distinction of having the highest skin cancer rate in the world. For many people the "golden tan" still has connotations of health rather than radiation damage. An Australian watercolourist of note was Albert Namatjira. (1902 - 1959)
What a lovely painting and great tutorial, Paul. Thank you! An amazing subject to paint in the US would be the otherworldly landscapes in Arches National Park in Moab, Utah.
I really love the big tree and reflections in your painting. Thank you for the opportunity to learn from you. I’m looking forward to the new series!
Yeeeah I was anticipating that knife scene from Dundee! Great work of art, Paul, mesmerising as usual. It seems like you have already begun this Around the World series long ago with lanscapes of Norway, Jamaica, Portugal, Italy, USA, India - these are what I remember. Now the series has a name and it's great!
I do some kind of such series too, limiting to Europe so far with paintings ready of Italy's Garfagnana, Iceland's Skogafoss waterfall and Czechia's Bezdez castle.
It would be wonderful to see your versions of Karelian landscapes of Russia, some Chinese vistas such as monsoon forests and ancient Buddhists sites, or Lord of the Rings backdrops from New Zealand!
How wonderful, as another fan of your tutorials and being an Aussie as well, I was thrilled to see this tutorial pop up. Thank you so much Paul 👍🇦🇺 p.s. loved the knife reference 😂
Lovely painting Paul. You've captured the Aussie landscape colours perfectly.
I feel I may be getting a little closer to my line and wash Sydney Harbour😊
I love your line and washes.🇦🇺
What a beautiful painting! You make it look easy!
I'd like you to paint Rarotonga sand beaches, palm trees and ocean.
Thank you for all your work, sharing with everybody. You are amazingly talented and generous.
You must have read my mind. Tutorials on scenes from your viewers countries was about to go into the Suggestions Box. Fabulous idea and I look forward to them all. 🇦🇺
Very authentic Australian landscape. Thank you! Will definitely give it a go!
Thank you for the video. Really excited about this new series!
Lovely picture to start it off with. ❤
Maybe you'll consider Austrian Alps with a nice wooden chalet 🫣😊
Love this idea! Here is one more: glaciers in Patagonia, like Glaciar Perito Moreno (look it up, itnis breathtaking!) I always wanted to paint it but have mo clue how to paint a river of ice! The lakes are turquoise, the trees orange in the autumm...really something super special! I really enjoyed how you went about the trees, the shapes and the shadows in this one. Thanks Paul!
Thank you again Paul.Stunning painting but I can’t do justice to your tutes. HK will be a great destination
Thank you from another viewer from down under. I can’t wait to paint this one. ❤
Wow, yay I’m excited about this series of lovely paintings. I definitely enjoy 😊 watching you painting as you share your humour, & stories of various historical/cultural tidbits. I will have to share that halarious Dad joke 😂!! Fantastic Australian music 🎶 in the background. Ohh for a possible suggestion to the travel series something from the Rhone River Countryside, Lyons, or Avignon, or maybe the Danube River countryside Vienna or Budapest. Although being from the USA a Steamboat strolling down the Mississippi River would be great fun to see too. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Hopefully you & Margot are keeping safe & warm with any winter storms heading across the pond these next few days/weeks. 😊❄️
Hello from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 😊
So Awesome Paul! Thank you. Since I am partially Greek, some scene in Greece would be nice to paint, but really any where in the world would be so special.
Beautiful!! Looking forward to traveling the world with future watercolor Wednesdays!! Thanks 🌎🌍🌏
Masterfully done as always!!! ❤. I lived in Sedona, AZ for 7 years in the 90’s. With such stunning vistas there, I would love it if you would add Sedona to your list.
Hello from the Riverland in South Australia! I love this painting and will be having a good crack at it today. Any paintings of our beautiful Murray River would be SO appreciated - LOVE your work ❤
P.S. Not sure about the XXXX Gold though 🤢 - try Coopers Ale; MUCH better! 😘
Thanks for the trip to beautiful Australia, really enjoyed. The landscape very inviting and your lesson superb as always. Sherry
Lovely painting! Thank you for the new tutorial! I am excited about the around the world series! Great idea. I would love to paint Swiss or Italian Alps for example.
Beautiful tutorial, Paul! I just knew you couldn’t resist a Crocodile Dundee reference! I have a suggestion-I’d love if we could do a Swiss chalet in the Alps. 😊
Thank you! What a great idea. It’s beautiful. I will give it a go down here in Melbourne, Australia
Love the accent. Fantastic tutorial and I can't wait to give it a go. Maybe you could do a scene from New Zealand sometime too...lots of ocean and mountain scenes
oh smashing new series Paul, thank you! My first instinct was to ask for Africa - a vast plain with distant giraffe or elephant but then my real love poked its nose in -Greece, please please please the light and those wonderful blue and white churches. Maybe some handsome Greek men dancing with a hanky - I just know you and Margot would do an excellent Zorba sketch!:)
I so look forward to Wednesday mornings and your tutorials. I would like to see you paint India.
Beautiful as always! Love the trees and the reflections you create!
Good evening Paul. Your beautiful painting is so admirable. I can"t stop admiring it. The trees and the reflections are terrific and so are skies. Giving you many thanks for this fine piece of art. And since you made it all up, that makes it more admirable.
Beautiful painting! I am looking forward to your around the world painting! I invite you to try Dodge City, Kansas! Rich western history-cattle drives, cowboys, buffalos, indian heritage and egad-brothels!
Meeden 100% watercolour paper block & it's fairly inexpensive(£18.95 on Amazon). Saw the reviews of this paper & it was highly recommended. It stays wetter for longer, colours stay vibrant & blend exceptionally well. Gorgeous painting & gorgeous colours. Thank you for sharing. An Artic scene would be interesting or maybe something in Amsterdam.
Love the new series idea👍excited to see your content of 2024. Thank you for your sharing your knowledge I’ve learned so much.
Hello Paul! I am Michael from New York. I have been working on your tutorials for a little over a year. I enjoy your videos, top 3 artist videos. I have painted several of your paintings. Thought I should say hi and thank you. Your friend across the pond.
Hi Paul, Thanks for another great tutorial. I suspect that I'm not alone and, like many others, regularly paint along with your weekly lessons.
One thing I'd like to ask.
Could you do a lesson on mounting and packaging artwork for sale at craft and art fairs? For example, when you see unframed paintings with their mounts in cellophane bags.
I'm sure there are many like me who'd like to know the best way to go about doing this and presenting their work with an eye to potentially selling it.
Many thanks for your weekly output. It certainly brightens up my Wednesdays.
Wow , that water reflection is stunning , I can’t wait to give it a go! How exciting and fun to add “Around the World Series” to the collection ! Thank you for this beautiful tutorial, loved the dad joke and the music really sets the tone! Great job !
Beautiful. It is so amazing the range of colours you create from a palette of 6 to 7 colours and still keep them from looking muddy. The brush movements are so mesmerizing. Thank you for another wonderful watercolour Wednesday.
Hi Paul. I love your classes. I would like to see you paint a scene from Nova Scotia. Peggy's Cove is very popular with artists.
Great suggestion! ... I've done it!!! ruclips.net/video/RxjH6887g4U/видео.html
Thank you for another great tutorial! It's a great idea this new series of "around the world watercolor", I am from Hungary and I hope one day you will "arrive" here too. :)
i live in the outback of Western Australia, you have just painted a scene that looks very much like the one at the bottom of my garden, Thank you!
Wonderful, thanks Paul, I’ll definitely be painting this, I’m in Melbourne.
Cape Town South Africa please. your tutorials are fantastic.
The hat...!!!!! Thanks so much, Paul!
Good afternoon, dear Paul! I hope your trip around the world will bring you in Moldova and you show us a wonderful wineyard painting :-) Great tutorial as always! Thank you and have a nice artistic trip wherever your imagination brings you! Greetings, Lilia
Love the way the galahs have chewed off the tops of the mallee trees.
Fabulous tutorial and a wonderful idea for upcoming videos. Thanks so much.
Hahaha, I love your rendition of this Australian scene as well as 'Dancing Queen' - I grew up in the UK in the 70s when it reigned on 'Top of the Pops' 😂
This is absolutely stunning and beautiful, especially the gorgeous reflections.
I love how much your reflections appear to match beautifully. I also love your Aussie landscape being Australian it makes my heartvsing when i see gum trees being painted. I should see what photos i have of Australian birds and landscapes for you
Magic as always!!! thank you so much Paul... Happy new year 2024!
Incredible as always Sir!!!
I’d ♥️ to visit Greece 1 of these days.
Thanks Again for sharing & Have a Great Evening!!!
My kids and I watch every week from Calgary Alberta and love your videos. We would love to see a painting of Canada… Banff would be beautiful!
I'd love to see you paint somewhere im Wyoming, USA, say perhaps Crazy Woman Canyon, or the Wind River Valley, or in the Absaroka Mountains. I was born and raised there and i miss it a lot some days. I will enjoy anywhere we go! Love your free videos. So much fun and constantly learning things!
Just started drawing a Scottish Highland Scene and noticed a new lesson, thank you for your art!
Ah, the beautiful Billabong of Title Text Here. Hope I get to see it someday 😉
Beautiful work.
Ooh, around the world!!! Love it. That's a splendid idea, I'm looking forward to it!
Perhaps for some choice locations, you might just require a visit... 😉
Another stunning painting! Absolutely love the idea of painting watercolors from all over the world. Would love to see you paint something from beautiful South Africa. 😊
Thank you Paul I always so enjoy your tutorials. The Aussie painting is fantastic 😅 Could you be persuaded to jump over the ditch to New Zealand and paint something amazing here too? Thanks so much for your videos wherever they/ you are.
Hi Paul! Please do a paddy field..there is one right behind my house and i could not paint it well..thank you❤
Love all your landscapes.
Bloody good painting cobber, your not a bad bloke for a pom,😅 regards from Australia 🇦🇺.
Thank you from one of those down under.
Just magic as always Paul!!!
Yay Paul! Thanks from Australia!! Very interested to see how you tackled gum trees - often come a cropper with them! Inspired by Albert Namitjira - have a whole new appreciation of his work after starting watercolour classes!
Still following your tutorials Paul, they're great - glad you're still making them! Hoping to do more painting in 2024. Also hoping I can get along to a workshop or Powdermills this year
So love your style! I lived in the desert southwest (Tucson) for several years and was always amazed at the gorgeous sunsets. Thank you for the wonderful instructional videos.
I would love to see a tutorial of Finland, maybe in winter? Love your tutorials always!
Oh I’m so excited. Please paint something from wyoming.
G'day Paul l'm impressed with your Outback rendition of a billabong with river gums. I recently travelled to Burke and Will's gravesite on the Cooper Creek sad ending but the scenery in parts was very similar and camping on the banks at sunset was glorious and when the Sun set in the west the panama of stars overhead was wondrous. Thank you again.
Genial! I like reflections , textures of trees, trunks...all ! Thank you Paul 😊
Looks fabulous! Do the Bamboo Forest Kyoto if you get a chance, I've been wanting to paint it but still deciding the best way!
Love that painting, great colors and I love the music. Thank you
Once again you've made a very accessible and enjoyable tutorial! Really looking forward to travelling around the world!
Wonderful !! ❤ Thank you Paul 🙂 !! I would love to see a painting from your favourite country!
I think there are many people from Argentina delighted by your works, it would be nice to paint a landscape from Argentinean south, specially from Bariloche! Its so beautiful!!!!!!!!Thanks Paul and be all of you with HEALTH!!!!!!!
There are a lot of people from Argentina, around the world, following Paul and his instructional videos.
Maybe is time to edit your comment. Speaking for a group of people, is not advisable. Unless you are willing to back your words up with actual data.
You are amazing. I am learning with you and thank you ❤❤❤
Thank you, thank you, Paul. I love seeing paintings of Australia. This is gorgeous! At this time of year many paintings are of snow scenes which are very beautiful too. Thank you for this, and look forward to your series 'around the world'. Luv Ya 😎 from Qld. Oz
My suggestion for a lovely trip is to the mountains of Switzerland.
Fabulous! Really love it and the idea to do a 'tour of the world'! How about going straight to the other side of the world from Australia ... to Austria? Maybe some high mountains or forests or lakes?
LOVE the theme of painting around the world!! I appreciate learning and listening about the riverly between the two countries when it came to Cricket.. Rather sassy meaning behind the trophy!! The reflections in the water are soft and are more of the main focus ! Beautiful atmoshpere and a glimpse into the landscape of Australlia!! Thank you as always. :0)
Watercolor Wednesdays have become a big part of my life - for learning, of course, but also for the company of your followers. I especially enjoy the music and the humor's not bad either. You asked for suggestions for upcoming locations; how about the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota, USA? "She's" got so many moods - ranging from calm and serene to wild and ferocious! Thanks for everything! Judy from St. Paul.
Your trees are amazing! I like the many different techniques you use in your painting: lifting paint for ripples, pastel pencil for highlights and knife for scraping in highlights! 23:21
I love the idea of paintings around the world. How about Québec City! There are many amazing scenes from the Place Royale to the Chateau to the portals (St-Jean, St-Louis) to the rue du Trésor and to the fountain de Tourny. They would make gorgeous paintings.
Excellente idée 😉 !
@@carolinemichaud3113 N'est-ce pas? 😊
@@manonsinclairladyofblairad9675Ce serait intéressant de voir sa version du Château Frontenac.
@@carolinemichaud3113 oh oui! Même la porte St-Louis serait intéressante.
I love the idea of around-the-world paintings. Please, please do an Irish countryside complete with sheep and thatched roof houses. I would like to see Marrakesh or some Middle Eastern scene complete with marketplaces maybe a camel or two. Anything you choose will be fine but do keep Ireland on the docket.
Wonderful video showing the real process you have. Thank you so much for sharing your teaching talent! It's so helpful! 😊 Do you always watercolor paint on a flat surface, or (after your initial background washes) do you sometimes switch over to an easel in a more upright position to add fine details? Is the perspective better, in your opinion?
Thank you Paul for including Australia in your tutorials. I ‘m from Perth Western Australia.
I only started painting last year with water colours, doing lessons with a WA artist. I’m absolutely loving the medium. I’ve found your tutorials a real inspiration, the way you use the magic of water colour & all the different techniques that can be used to produce a stunning painting.
I wish we were closers to Sussex to attend some of your classes. My parents came from West Sussex beautiful part of UK. . I’ve just purchased your book! Love seeing what you have each week & love your sense of humour.
Lovely comment - thanks ... hope you enjoy the book too!
Thank you. What a beautiful painting of our amazing outback. I would love to see a painting of Italy or Norway perhaps. I’m going to give it a try too. Tfs
Great to see you do an Aussie landscape 😊Gerry
Tibet, Tuscany, Peru, Antarctica, Kyoto in autumn, Puma Punku, cenote, thanks a lot, Paul
Hi Paul! Love your courses!! What about a typical Bali scenery? I’d really like that! 😊 thanks a lot in and case! Marlene
So lovely Paul. Thanks from Australia 🇦🇺
Good morning from Florida. Thank you for another great tutorial! 🖼️
Florida! The only part of the US not freezing right now! Lol 😂 Hello from your neighbor Alabama. 👋🏻 I keep hoping Mr. Clark will come to the US to teach in person. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@stampinturtles I would drive anywhere within the States if he flew across the pond! It was below freezing temps in north Florida overnight and this morning. Brrrrrr!
@@susanhicks7250 he has a sister in Florida. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Come visit Mr. Clark and Margot!!! Gulf Coast is perfect vacation spot!
YES - finally an aussie landscape! We're cooking over here in Australia and the last thing I want to paint is snow. Thank you so much for the video.
Yay! I’m in Perth ! 🇦🇺 🇬🇧
As a new painter, I appreciate all that I have learned from you. I'm from Canada and have tried to paint sundogs but have failed miserably. Google photos of sundogs. They are BEAUTIFUL! Could you possibly include them in your "Around the World" series? Much appreciated!
Europe and Canada please. Lovely painting and good idea Mike.
