Holy shit she speaks Tagalog better than I do TT-TT" uggh. I'm so jealous, but I must admit it's really interesting seeing someone who's not of Filipino ethnicity speaking the language so fluently :] Very cool!
Dara is well known as Krung-krung in the Philippines because of her 12D attitude and beauty..she's so real that's why people loves her, she joined SCQ a reality talent show and got 2nd place, she did some movies, dramas and shows in the Philippines..she has a double platinum music awards or something..having double platinum is a big thing and she has best actress awards or something like that. ^^
Also, this turned out as informal interview because everybody is comfortable with Dara since she's like a Filipino too. This led the hosts to ask so many questions.. I guess they're just happy to see and interview Sandara,.
fillipino is such an interesting language..to think that they mix filipino with english and tagalog in one is so amazing..soo proud of dara!! she's amazing
NON FILIPINO fans, if you dont know how to communicate the way we does then be it, it may sounds annoying to all of you but thats the way we talked thats our own accent, thats how we delivered our words to other. Stop if you dont know our CULTURE WELL. Filipinos were more fluent talking in english rather than other asian countries.
dara was born in Busan, Korea and moved to Philippines for her dad's business. she's a full korean and grew up here for a long time, and so did her little brother from MBLAQ. They both know how to speak Tagalog fluently.
we filipino called it "taglish" mixed tagalog and english. we usually use taglish if the tagalog word is too mean or too deep so we translate it in eng. to make it easy. it is not annoying you just cant understand we all have our own languages and this is ours we use taglish in our everyday living and we cannot get rid of it.and yes some of tagalog words derived from spanish but not all. we just absorbed their language before when Spaniards ruled the phils. by the way dara is so cute i love 2NE1
You don't get it. But Dara does. It's Filipino humor. Not intended to insult. It may sound offending to others, especially foreigners but Dara understands that kind of humor. Those hosts are also her friends so it's not offending for her at all. She grew up here so she understands that it's not an insult.
buti n lang umalis k dito s pinas sandy at bumalik k dyan s korea ksi di mo maabot dito s pinas un kasikatan n eexperience mo naun. people here just don't know how to manage u to make u big they even thought of u as "KRUNG KRUNG" but they were wrong. ngayon mga ksabayan mo s SQU lahat laos n pero ikaw pinagpala. god bless u sandara. i so much love ur group "2NE1"
I just want to add this statement to those who are THAT curious about our language. TagLish (a fusion of Tagalog and ENglish) is like our everyday language. We use it to converse to our peers and families and anyone else. However, TAGALOG is a language void of any foreign words. But we seldom use the proper tagalog word for everything else on our daily lives. We use the BORROWED ones (e.g. Spanish) because we are used to it. If you try learning the pure Tagalog, it's a candy to one's ear :)
i don't think it is called turning their back on her. filipino fans loves the sandara and hero couple before that's why abs-cbn did a movie where they're together., but dara wants to introduce the sandara-joseph to the public in which abs-cbn mngmt didn't agree... the sandara-joseph couple was not good as sandara-hero that time... i think that's also the reason why sandara gave up her career here in the philippines.
tagalog alone has some words that are similar to spanish then we mix it with english when we're talking casually because pure tagalog/filipino is hard haha tbh
I am a Filipino, but I have to admit, our hosts can be viewed as pesky and annoying by a lot of people. Filipinos are very personal, so they get into details that might invade a person's privacy. But then, that's our culture. 'Nuff said. Dara has adapted to the culture of the Philippines, so she understands why the hosts (Luis and Tony) seem to be quite intrusive, and she knows how to professionally handle such situations.
LOL 12D means something like she has this out of the world attitude, mood swings, she can be a dork, playful naughty and a bit crazy in a funny and good way. No not only one song, she has a whole album with many tracks but in or out is the most popular. No I don't think Phillippines got sick or tired of her, Filipinos love her so much! it's because YG asked for her to train in Korea for several months and when she come back, someone had claimed her place,a girl who won another reality TV show.
wow, really love her, she doesn't forget the Philippines and still down to earth even after abs turned their back on her. I f I were her, I won't ever guest there. LOL. But I really love her.
ya really will my big sis she just love Dara and my mom two she love Dara and i ask my mom her dad is Korean or her mom is Korean my mom told her dad is Filipino and her mom is Korean ^_^ and i know Dara when i was 6 years old and still love her an tell now shes my idol love you Dara forever ^_^ before shes acting comedian movie and she don't even change a little bet shes still sandy that i know ^_^
To all non-filipino, please don't misunderstand their conversation. the talk between the hosts and dara were just a friendly joke. it is not that they really mean it. i know dara knows it too because she once had a show business career here in the philippines. So again, please don't misunderstand any of those talks.
the girl host is a singer, actress, and also a comedienne as well as the guy host. that kind of comments are only jokes in the Philippines. because many Filipinos are going outside of the Philippines so we can earn a bigger income. So that is why they ask if Sandara is already rich.
@AznWorldMusicLegend thanks. so cool to know that she speaks english too! interesting how she doesnt show it off on shows and stuff though... since most idols take advantage of the fact that they speak another language (even if they're not even close to fluent and know only a few words).
It's hard for us who are used to speaking 2 languages in our everyday lives. You wouldn't understand because you are not from our country.
I've noticed that there are similar comments in this video. Just want to share my answers too :) :) Yes, it's normal for us, Filipinos, to speak Filipino and English at the same time. It can be considered as our second language. Others have noticed that there are Filipino words similar to Spanish. It is because we have a lot of loan words from Spanish because of our history. Regarding Hosts asking money, it's just a fun banter or joke that I believe Sandara can understand too.
oh my god i didn't know sandara can speak fluent tagalog until i watched one of those videos where she WAS speaking tagalog like this one. omfg it's so amusing to hear dara speaking tagalog :"> btw when was this ep aired? i reaalllllyyy wanna know >.
i miss sandara seriously!!, i was her number one fan when she was acting in the lucky one movie u know?????? im pure filipino but im really good at speaking in english .. so can we stop?? sandara is really good in speaking tagalog
For Non-Filipino fans, don't misunderstand the way they talked Dara. They're not just hosts to Dara but a very close friend to her especially Luis. Don't compare yours to our coz we're far different, learn to respect.
We kinda use more Spanish than you might realize. The kitchen utensils, name of months and days, etc. were all from the spanish language. Some spanish words are hard to recognize sometimes becuase of the tagalog prefixes and suffixes that were mixed in.
Filipinos speak Tagalog, English, and Spanish at the same time. It's mixed, they switch easily. I heard some of them talk and I realized that there are Spanish words in it, but Filipinos don't realize that it's Spanish.
@MsRainbowiee2315 i'm filipino,,but speaking in filipino is giving me a headache because just like what you said,,it's way too deep,,but that is the charm of the filipino language.. that is the reason why we use taglish so that we could express ourselves..
The reason why they put a lil english when talking is because its just kinda of a habbit. We call it taglish. A lot of people who are learning tagalog use taglish. I use it alot
@blizzard217 because filipino language is a mixture of different languages making it very beautiful. and remember that philippines was once colonized by spain, america, and japan, that is why you can hear some spanish and english when filipino people speak. filipino language is the philippines' national language and english is their secondary language, because everyone is like required to learn english due to globalization now. ((why am i speaking at the 3rd person case? i'm filipino too. LOL))
OMG you just answered my question of "omg why am I hearing spanish? did I hear her say Pesos??" and the taglish, I didn't pay much mind cous its kinda like in India where they speak Hindi/English (hinglish? lol) and kinda like my hispanic/spanish friends where they speak spanglish lol thanks for stating that about the spanish though ^.^
FYI guys, the male interviewer was not RUDE, he is very close with Dara way back then they are like best friends watch?v=X1tpKZrxhpo that you'll see their interactions LOL they were both funny back then
OMG nice vid.... but it's true what she said once in a variety show... since she's in 2NE1 she's kind of shy in talk shows... YG members don't go too much to variety show cuz they don't like them... but its so good she has that multicultural preparation.
waahh she is pure korean.. but they lived here in the phil. together widher family for almost 11 or 14 years.. thAts why dara is fluent in tagalog.. lol
Holy shit she speaks Tagalog better than I do TT-TT" uggh. I'm so jealous, but I must admit it's really interesting seeing someone who's not of Filipino ethnicity speaking the language so fluently :] Very cool!
I love how the Philippines love of her and see thier as national treasure in a way, so lovely
i really like dara's makeup here - very natural yet chic

Sandara speaks English, Tagalog, and Korean. CL speaks English, French, Japanese. Boom speaks English, and Korean. Minzy speaks Korean, and English.
it's great hearing Dara speak tagalog... i actually don't have to read the subtitles to understand what she's saying ^_^! Dara's awesome!!!
NON FILIPINO fans, if you dont know how to communicate the way we does then be it, it may sounds annoying to all of you but thats the way we talked thats our own accent, thats how we delivered our words to other. she's so humble.. like honestly.. she doesnt speak or sound like she's famous..
i think that's one of her biggest charm.
to any non filipinos: we pinoys are very sarcastic, very sassy when we speak tagalog. and taglish is basically slang in the philippines.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. ang pambansang krung-krung. I'm Very proud of you DARA .
dara was born in Busan, Korea and moved to Philippines for her dad's business. she's a full korean and grew up here for a long time, and so did her little brother from MBLAQ. They both know how to speak Tagalog fluently.
oh its good she's still humble and knows how to look back despite all the fame 2ne1 has in korea
Aww~ She's still got some of that cuteness and shyness from her SCQ days :3

I love how they switch from Tagalog and English so easily xD
It's awesome, lmao.
Yes. Ofc. ^^ Before she became a member of 2ne1, she became an artist here in Philippines. ^^

I love how Dara rocks the hats :)
I hear Tagalog, english and a little spanish?? How much does this language have mixed?
Pablo Sena Philippines was once colonized by the Spaniards. So, some of our words were mixed spanish. That's all. :)
some Filipinos speak in TagLish where in they use some english words when speaking in tagalog, it's like "hola everyone how are my amigos"😂😂😂

@hellocdw
ofcourse! english is the 2nd language of the filipinos!!
aahh the language sounds so exotic! :D
Yup. Some Tagalog words are derived from Spanish. And well... a lot of people speak Tagalog with English or Taglish. =)
@AznWorldMusicLegend
thanks. so cool to know that she speaks english too! interesting how she doesnt show it off on shows and stuff though... since most idols take advantage of the fact that they speak another language (even if they're not even close to fluent and know only a few words).
even Dara joked like that when Bianca interviewed her in Korea.
It's hard for us who are used to speaking 2 languages in our everyday lives. You wouldn't understand because you are not from our country.

then she went back to korea to pursue her dream....
though she became famous here also...
oh my god i didn't know sandara can speak fluent tagalog until i watched one of those videos where she WAS speaking tagalog like this one. omfg it's so amusing to hear dara speaking tagalog :">

@AznWorldMusicLegend Thank you!!!
Of course we do realize it. Lamesa (The Table), aparador. Kutsilyo. And a lot of other words derived from Spanish.
We kinda use more Spanish than you might realize. The kitchen utensils, name of months and days, etc. were all from the spanish language. Some spanish words are hard to recognize sometimes becuase of the tagalog prefixes and suffixes that were mixed in.
T-T yeah ^_^
This is so true though. LOL And when she got so famous, welp, ABS-CBN welcomed her again.
Filipinos speak Tagalog, English, and Spanish at the same time. It's mixed, they switch easily. I heard some of them talk and I realized that there are Spanish words in it, but Filipinos don't realize that it's Spanish.
waaa,,, i just realise that this three have been in the same drama.....
Omg I wish I was in the Philippines 2 see this:(
Nag dinner kami sa gabi 😂 cutie patotie 😍😍

And She was really able to have a CF w/ Lee Minho ! it may not be a movie or korean series but still she was able to have a shooting with him! hahaha
The reason why they put a lil english when talking is because its just kinda of a habbit. We call it taglish. A lot of people who are learning tagalog use taglish. I use it alot
Cute mu Sandy , nothings change even though you become more famous :))

shes so cute, she look like her little brother cheondung when she smiles :)
@gogosma because it's the way they speak there, mixing the two languages, it's a form of 'code-switching' or 'creole' even
what i think is funny is how they asked about lee minho in this interview and the last one. bet they loved in when he was in the kiss mv with her lol
FYI guys, the male interviewer was not RUDE, he is very close with Dara way back then they are like best friends watch?v=X1tpKZrxhpo that you'll see their interactions LOL they were both funny back then
