Do you avoid high engagement rear hubs (such as I9 Hydra) for fakie landings? I'm just curious if it makes any difference, in my mind it would make them harder as you'd have less time to react and start pedalling backwards once your back wheel touches down.
I’d rather have a free coaster but with disk brakes going fakie it’s hard to control your speed because the disk spinning reverse engages way different and will just eject you if applied rolling backwards at speed. So having a normal cassette style hub helps control the speed going fakie. I don’t like the sound of high engagement hubs they are annoying to me. Silent hubs are my favorite
How can we crowd fund to buy you a Profile freecoaster with DH spacing? Don't see anyone else sending huge 180s or landing anything fakie off of slope sized booters.
