"It's the only losing move, and Hikaru finds it"🤣😂😂
That shade lol
That was hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Titled Tuesday is a blitz game? Is that what I’m seeing, still can’t believe an easy checkmate was missed twice. Even after this, he mashed the potatoes for a win.
Crazy!! Wow
10:24 Agad calmy suggesting blundering mate in 1 needs to be played 😂😂
Tricky Agad! He knows Magnus does not see mate in 1 this game.
At this point you really don’t know if he’s trolling or not cuz without the engine he’s really just a chimpanzee analyzing chess.
(Yeah I know he’s an IM, but maybe because he hasn’t played competitive chess for so long, he’s just too bad at this game 😂)
Edit: Turns out he's doesn't have a FIDE title (which makes much more sense) 🤔.
You must be fun at parties@@niv6924
@@niv6924 he doesn't have a title, he's 1900 fide
Here forced self-checkmate has to be played.
There are geniuses who execute great checkmates with lots of pieces on the board, but not Magnus - he's great, or even the greatest, at gaining the one pawn advantage and then winning from there.
id say magnus has lost his touch
😂
I think checkmates with more pieces is harder, I always find it hard to corner the king with too many pieces on the board, I think endgames are really indecisive and engines cant create decisive lines so it gives the better player an advantage or the player who is up material like magnus was here
@@Elamado97not always it’s why players bring as many pieces to the party as they can but you’re right in a way a lot of Checkmates are just a combination of two pieces Queen Knight or Queen Rook etc
@@cikanom4314talk now :)
When you find mate in 1, always look for something better.
5:27 Magnus didnt want to checkmate that easy, he simplyfied into rook and pawn endgame just to show Hikaru he can beat him the hard way aswell.
Hikaru is not the guy to give second chances to
@@michaelmassaro4375and Magnus is? 😂
Agree. Big middle finger from MC
#1 player in the world Magnus
#2 Drunk Magnus
#3 Blind Magnus
Not to forget sleeping magnus.
Angry Magnus?
I wanted to comment that
Late magnus
I’m starting 2 believe even no show Magnus.
New character in "magnusverse"
Blind Magnus.
“If there is a way to defend, Hikaru will, of course, find it.” Hikaru plays h6??? on next move.
10:24 and allow Rh8#
Just checking who's paying attention
😅
Antonio is trying to trick us guys!
In this game Hikaru is immune to check mates in one
@@harshitkumar9745 but also encourages to be attentive (13:44)
A press conference from both of them on this game, similar to Candidates, would have been absolutely fun 😂
This is a freaking blunderfest! It takes TWO players to create this masterpiece where BOTH players misses mate in one that I (a noob at chess) saw right away.
Hikaru resigning means Magnus doesn't get to blunder his rock.
New photo ,same old magnus
Magnus's playing style is pretty similar to my style. I also often miss Mate in 1 under pressure...!!!😂
I appreciate the updated photo
grand master's curse is they are still winning
Queen defending the pawn certainly in memory, once my king was not threatened at its original position but when moved got mate by the piece I felt safe at initial position, thanks for the game and the analysis.
Thanks
I thought it was a blindfold game!
and incredible move by hikaru, and an even more incredible move by magnus in response - really pretty funny :)
10:24 Kxh6 is a funny recommendation by agad
It's what you said. He registered the tile as defended, so when his knight was attacked, the only move was to retreat.
Also, you tend not to challenge your opponnent moves if his of a high rank.
That being said, those mental gymnastics are all there to allow to think faster, which is what you do during a blitz :)
10:02 Rxg4+ is another option here for an easier draw, you capture 1 pawn and can block the other one and it's easier to input.
Finally we can enjoy some chess! Thank Agod! And thank Magnus
Magnus just trolling Hikaru as usual
"It's the only move that Loses the game on the spot and Hikaru plays it." 😂😂WTF
people say it doesn't make that much sense to review blitz, and its true, we wont learn anything outstanding - but it is also interesting to see! as mistakes aside, there are still interesting principles at play
Agad is now reviewing games from the future, what a guy!
Great new video by Kramnik last night
If it were my game, I would say justice was served. It just shows we are all human. As for the missed mate in one, I would point out there is a whole category of blunders, where there is no threat in the position itself (h7 is defended) but the threat is brought into being by the move about to be made (h6 breaks the defence of h7). These are difficult to spot because we start by analysing the existing position and plan moves that deal with the potential of that position. Each and every move opens lines and closes lines.
3 am at México, sleep or Agad?...
"Hello everyone! And welcome..."
We've all been there amigo!
I think also you are mentally preparing lines based on what you take to be good moves. You simply don't anticipate an opponent blundering #1, so it's not in your consideration.
Magnus prolong Hikaru's suffering 5 times, just because he enjoy to see him suffer
video 10:23 dialog : "here capturing has to be played" but if Kxh6 R h8 # would happend!!!
Just following the theme of the match. 😂
Another title Tuesday for Magnus he is unstoppable
Sometimes you just do not expect opponent to blunder and see him playing other move in your mind. So you automatically respond to the move that you expect to be played. Happened to me quite a few time in blitz both in Chess and in Go.
Magnus will forever be the best player in the world and remembered as it
I doubt Magnus missed that. He just spared Hikaru.
These is brutal
What was that game
Magnus misses a mate in one! Glad to see I'm not the only ont to whom this happens!😂
not just magnus but hikaru :D whos one of best defenders offers mate in one :D
I'm not convinced that magnus missed that he probably just didn't wanna win via a silly blunder by hikaru so he just gave him chance to continue the game.
It's not a mistake because Magnus took 8 seconds.
I would assume Magnus was calculating the top 3 moves Hikaru might make and planning a speedy response to any of them. Since H6 was a blunder that Magnus hadn't calculated he probably immediately panicked (flinched) and looked for threats from such a move and not so much for opportunities. Also, in his defense it's very easy to miss long range pieces 5+ squares away. Not that he needs to me to defend him but you see GM's miss bishops on the opposite side of the board sometime also. The title for this video should be "Magnus, let's not forget about our good friend the queen" or "Even your uncle finds this checkmate."
think its natural human instinct to lean 'protection of their pieces' than objectively knowing the reality of the square's protection. engine will sacrifice anything to win but humans will protect everything to win
0:20 Hikaru gaining 900 elo haha
0:30 Magnus and Hikaru ; not Hikaru and Magnus
Theres no way i saw mate before Magnus
that's because you didn't see the other 1000 potential moves, ignorance is a bliss sometimes
@@FriedrichLeopoldvonBraunschwei my ignorance would've won the game for Magnus? Kay.
@@issholland hetzelfde geld voor mij
If you don't calculate other 1 billion lines. So yeah you is better than magnus
Hikaru: come on Magnus, mate me in one
Magnus: nah, let us go to end game and win it with dignity.
10:25 if the king captures white pawn wouldnt it be rook to h8 checkmate?
5:27 If Ivanchuk was playing white and Magnus playing black, Ivanchuk would've jumped up while playing the mate in one move.
Wow! Magnus missed a mate in 1 and didn't see or hallucinated completely!
Zaitochi Blind swordsman ho ho.
at 10:23 , how can capturing be the right move? isn't that just mate in 1 with rook to h8?
I'm pretty sure you need to give the check with the rook first and then capture with the rook itself
Agad said in another comment that he was just kidding (checking who's paying attention)
Magnus pre moved the entire game and still won
Shocking that Magnus missed the mate in one
Everybody saying Magnus missed mate in one. But so did Hikaru when he pushed the pawn! It took two of them to create such a masterpiece. 😂
#suggestion Magnus Carlsen Blind & Timed Chess Simul at the Sohn Conference in NYC
I'm emotionally exhausted.
Blunderfest by 2 wizards. I feel normal blundering now .
This wasn’t Magnus playing, it was dr drunkenstein
If blitz is B, what's bullet?
Magnus trusted Hikaru and never believes that Hikaru can make such blunder. We dont either.
As the Stockfish says "Hikaru blundermoora"😂
This wasn't Magnus and Hikaru.. clearly this was two of your uncles in Magnus and Hikaru masks.
Magnus, meaning "Great", Old Norse magn-hús = "power house"

Nihal Vs Kramnik controversy
it is because you trust in your opponent and you can not believe he blonders like this. Magnus just said ok if Hikaru has attacked my knight he has done all the calculations and the knoght must go back.
You just would t expect Hikaru to allow a mate in 1, so you don’t see it.
I didn't expect such a game from both of the players , I guess both of them were completely drunk
10:23 if Hikaru captures pawn on h6 Rh8 is mate in 1..
Magnus saw all of those tatics, however he wanted to prolong the game and torture Hikaru.
Maggie and Hicky sitting at a chessboard....
Magnus is now chungus
Always check if there's a mate in 1!
hahaha best comment
He is just a human!
When I saw it, I almost spat out my oatmeal and milk. It's moments likes these that give us common mortals hope.
I think it’s called “chess blindness” and it happens even with the best players.
If someone like Magnus can miss mate in one, I guess I should not feel so bad because I do that all the time.
Magnus was just toying around XD, I dont believe magnus missed any of those!
Yes, of course, if you have seen the same patterns over and over again since early childhood, you will eventually know it all by heart.
Magnus saw the move but didn’t play
Honestly, knowing Magnus can miss a mate in one makes me realize human perfection does not exist, and I'm ok with that.
Magnus = Megaman
Was it drunk Magnus?
magnus always had this won, he just wanted to win it a bunch of different times in a bunch of different ways.
Magnus spent much more time leaving the checkmate hanging compared to his other moves, I think he was trolling...
I admit this is a crazy game...I don
So... This became a little bit guess the elo
10:23
Erm, blundering a mate in 1 really has to be played? If you say so, Agad!
#suggestion
Hello Agadmator! Would you please check the rapid game Nodirbek vs. Giri from the first round of the Superbet Poland Rapid and Blitz? It features an amazing attacking game, and a queen sacrifice! Thank you, and have a nice day!
70 ... Kxh6 71 Rh8 mate.

#3 blind Magnus
#4 late Magnus
#5 angry Magnus
#6 piece blunderer Magnus
Magnus was probably drunk and blind while playing it
Magnus playing like my drunk uncle
This almost looks like a game, your uncles would play
wow
Everybody's talking about blind Magnus, but considering the move he missed, this game was all about dumb Magnus.
only move that loses the game and Hikaru plays it xD
Nice blind game...concentratic game
I don't think he blundered mate in 1. He just wanted to win a drawn end game for the 1000th time.
captures must not be played😂😂
Magnus was seeing ghosts. He probably imagined the knight being on f8 instead of dark bishop. U know how sometimes you are thinking "i" , u mean "i", but u are saying "e".
What a weird game from both
