I agree on the point about Alice->Clara
They COULD HAVE LEFT HER NAME AS ALICE YOTSUBA, BUT NO, IT'S *CLARA* YOTSUBA NOW, ALSO WHY DO MAYA AND CLARA KEEP THEIR ORIGINAL LAST NAMES, MACKENZIE GETS MACK AS HERS, AND RACHEL....DOESN’T EVEN GET ONE!?

Glitter Force was supposed to air on Nickelodeon, but never did. Its likely why each one is split into 2 seasons, and it connects to this 'Power Rider' trademark Saban filed(long story short, Saban was told he could get Shinkenger footage if he adapted another Toei series, he jumped the gun, filed the Power Rider trademark, expecting the show to be a Kamen Rider. When it turns out to be Smile PreCure)
Yeah,Nickelodeon isn't the kind of channel that you would find any sort of anime.Anime is a sort of disney channel kind of thing.
Why did they keep the last name it makes no scene 😭

Honestly, I think they changed Alice to Clara because it somewhat sounds like clover, still incredibly unnecessary.
Again, if 4Kids were here they will do all Precure seasons a long time ago.
they did ojamajo doremi season 1, you know the anime that run in the same time slot as precure for 4 years and most of production crew was transfered to make precure as a replacement show
the thing is localization of ojamajo also cut any japanese explisit content, relocated the anime to the states and cut down any possible way of prolonging the show to 3 remaining seasons due to countles plotholes they dug in localization

Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Mew Mew Power and Power Rangers are doing the exact treatment of censorship as well.
Also two of my fav Japanese words are "DokiDoki" and KiraKira". "Throb" and " sparkling" in English.
I loved this show when I was a child and I’m sad it gets so much hate like sure they skipped a few episodes that I would have loved to watch but it’s fine the shows good the way it is
I really hate that they change the Alice name to Clara I honestly think Alice sounds better
They always kept the english names.

Didn’t Glitter Force Doki Doki also COMBINE episodes? Like parts of episodes 1&2 of Pretty Cure were combined for episode 1 of Glitter Force
glitter force dub is only comparable to captain harlock dub from the 80's where localisers cut out vilan race entirely because they were all sexy evil women so entire alien invasion didn't happen, antyhero was branded a vilan and his adopted doughter died twice when in oryginal she didn't even once. and cut down episode count by comparable amount

One thing I like about this dub is the fact that they changed cure Rosetta to glitter clover and cure sword to glitter spade.
I always got confused on why there were more episodes on IMDB than on Netflix when I saw the show. I didn’t know why until I watched a Watchmojo video of all things LOL. Pretty good video BTW.
So I just recently got recommended this video after probably watching so many Wonderful Precure videos and this was really interesting since at the time I never really bother with how bad Glitter Force was since I thought that was normal when it came onto Netflix until finding out about Precure.
Wow I didn’t realize Clara was Alice for Precure version but I agree why change it- 😬
Now I really need to find the Precure Doki Doki version for this since this is first time I am hearing that some stuff was cut out!?! 😨

It’s not really Netflix who were responsible for licensing PreCure. It was Saban Brands who was also the previous owner of Power Rangers before Hasbro took over.
I got in to the fandom through glitter force doki doki, and I was genuinely surprised when you said they changed Alice’s name to Clara. I had no idea that they changed it till now.
I would say that both dubs have good voice acting and I wish they could redub it with no changes

You got a point, maybe if Saban never dubbed Smile and DokiDoki, then these dubs wouldn’t exist, but at least - It got one thing right, introducing Precure to an American audience, before their “friendly franchise” the Candians, got a taste of the franchise, which was the first one (Futari Wa Pretty Cure or Just Pretty Cure), but to YTV clucking up the timeslot and something else, Max Heart was never dubbed, but the good thing is that unlike Glitter Force, the the background music and other soundtrack elements remained, and in a alternate reality or right now, had Ocean Productions still dubbing the franchise, they would brought it to America, and the current series they would dub would be KiraKira (I have a love-hate relationship with that season, my favorite character from that is Yukari, because she is awesome), and the next season for next year would be, Hugtto, and then Precure would be up there with Dragon Ball and Demon Slayer (maybe…. I guess 😂.)

Yes I know exactly what scene you’re talking about cause I’ve watched Glitter force doki doki and yeah you are right about them removing the woman love scene with Regina and Maya cause I did ship them when I first started watching the series and when I got to that scene in the season one finale I was slightly disappointed because I was kinda expecting maya to say that: “We’re more than friends regina I love you” but yea no they just had to cut that out..

In my opinion I like the Doki Doki better and now watching it twice both series doing the Doki Doki cuz I finished the original glitter force but I have watched videos back in 2022 or 2023 but it was on another account

You best be careful about what you say about any Pretty Cure medium.
Compare the endings, the original ones both have more of a pop feeling. Only one ( The second one (L-O-V-E) has a pop feeling).
