I really wish granite gear would stop with all the compression straps and take notes from the other ultralight pack makers, why do I need a strap that goes over my water bottle pocket? why do I need a strap that goes over my stretch pocket? all these straps do is get in the way, zero function unless you want to strap gear to your pack, does hilltop packs, hyperlight, liteaf, durston, ect have compression straps everywhere? No. if you are going to add all these straps atleast make them removable, same thing with the clips that hold the Brain on, if i don't want to use the brain i shouldnt have two clips dangling off my pack because of it. and the weird "design" flaps infront of the stretch pocket? if i decide to cut off all the compression straps then i have random pieces of backpack just flapping around.
