  • The Dragon PXV is the newest goggle designed by the Dragon Alliance. Sunglass Rob chats with Dragon’s Jon Finger about their innovative Panotech lens and snow goggle combo.
    Everything about the PXV is new: New frame, new lens, and new lens tech.
    Dragon combined the best aspects of a spherical lens with the ever-popular styling of their cylindrical NFX 2. That’s Panotech, a hybrid spherical/cylindrical lens that offers amazing peripherals and sharpened clarity in absolute style.
    The PXV is Dragon’s largest frame with incredible fog-fighting technology.
    Dragon’s signature armored venting system provides better temperature management while they’ve redoubled their effort with their improved anti-fog coating on an already amazing anti-fog.
    A triple layer foam setup with antimicrobial fleece provides an ultra-soft cushion for all-day wearability.
    The frame design is helmet and prescription insert compatible for ensuring safe runs down the slope.
    Comes with a bonus lens and is available with Dragon’s color and contrast enhancing Lumalens technology.
    The Dragon PXV will be available in Fall ’18.

    which is a better low light lens for the Dragon PXV? Amber or Rose?

      Hello Ryan! We would recommend the Rose lens. Amber will still work but Rose is better suited for low light conditions. Thanks for reaching out!

      Great thanks. two more questions: 1. Will PXV have a yellow lens option available and 2. Is the PXV helmet compatible with how it wraps around the side of the head like that? Thanks

      Hello Ryan! The PXV will have a gold lumalens available but there is not a yellow option available yet...The PXV does have an adjustable strap and it is helmet compatible. Thanks for reaching out!

    Do These or dragon goggles in general come in asian fit? or is there already extra foam?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 лет назад

      Hello! No, they do not have an asian fit goggle in their 2019 lineup and the PXV does not come with extra foam. You can check out more asian fit goggles here: www.sportrx.com/shopby/asian_fit-yes/frames_for-male/product_type-goggles.html. Thanks for reaching out!

    How do you change the Lens? doesnt seem to have swiftlock?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  6 лет назад +1

      Hey Quirin! Sorry for the delayed response. The PXV goggle doesn't have the Swiftlock technology but it does have an interchangeable system. It has a button on the side that you push in and it will allow you to pop off the shield in seconds.

      I've mentioned it to Rob and when we do the goggle review we will make sure to show how the shield interchanges ! :)

    • @Fingo86
      @Fingo86 6 лет назад

      Is there a reason they changed from Swiftlock? I ask because i was wearing NFXs until they got stolen, loved them but I am thinking of trying the NFX2 but have heard that in heavy off piste snow gets between the bottom of the lens and the frame? Is this why they are changing the lens change system? Thanks for your great vids.

    • @dow168
      @dow168 5 лет назад +1

      The PXV doesn't have any "button" at all. The change system is the worst, you have to pull out like 10 pegs, like a goggle from 6 years ago, badly smudging or possibly scratching the lens in the process. Its a dealbreaker and needs to be addressed in any review. It is kind of ridiculous that in 2018 any goggle has this sort of lens change system.

      Hello! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us! The good news with this goggles is you don't have to worry about your lens falling off if you slam. Sounds like the swiftlock interchange of the X2(www.sportrx.com/dragon-x2-snow-goggle.html) is more along the lines of what you are looking for. Thanks for reaching out!

    • @timlims
      @timlims 5 лет назад +2

      SportRx do you know why Dragon went back in time and decided to use that old lens change system? I agree that it’s ridiculous that no one talks about it. Other big negative point is that it doesn’t come with a case like previous flagship models such as the X2. What is Dragon’s rationale for both of these points?

    • @dow168
      @dow168 5 лет назад

      Really? The X2 is a totally different goggle, smaller (too small), poorer field of vision, and spherical lens. Not comparable. Sorry, but you guys come off as paid shills for not even mentioning this phony lens change system. You review a goggle but totally fail to mention a huge, fatal flaw? Credibility goes out the window.

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 лет назад

      @@dow168 Hello! We were simply recommending an alternate based on the fact that the lens interchange system is easier on the X2. They are very different goggles and it seemed like the interchange system was a deal breaker for you. For the PXV we wanted to focus on the toric lens design which is new for 2019. We totally agree with you that the interchange system should have been mentioned in the video since it a main feature of the goggle. We did not intentionally leave it out. Thanks for your feedback!

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 лет назад +1

      @@timlims Hello! It is a mystery to us as to why they did not include it on the PXV. I think we got excited about the toric lens and other goggle features and forgot to touch on the interchange system. In the future we will do our best to give you a more comprehensive overview of the goggle, good or bad. Thanks for reaching out!
