Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It has the most populous urban area in Sweden as well as in Scandinavia. 1 million people live in the municipality, approximately 1.6 million in the urban area, and 2.4 million in the metropolitan area. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Outside the city to the east, and along the coast, is the island chain of the Stockholm archipelago. The area has been settled since the Stone Age, in the 6th millennium BC, and was founded as a city in 1252 by Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. It is also the county seat of Stockholm County.

Enjoyed the walk seeing some beautiful homes, sone nature and the beautiful blue water. I enjoy your commentary. Tack f[r another great walk!😊
Daniel, I am so happy you have commentary on your videos. I enjoy yours so much more than other similar channels.
Fascinating that, if you were in Chicago and its suburbs, and you closed your eyes and took a flight to Stockholm, and you opened your eyes, you will feel as if you never left Chicago. The houses, the streets are identical, the cityscape is identical. This video you show, is like any nice suburb of Chicago.
That is because the first pioneers that came to the U.S. were Nordic peoples and they built in their style.
In fact, I live in a house like any house you see in Stockholm or Bergen.
I will always support you
Thanks!
@@letswalkaroundstockholm no is the matter sir
Beautiful area! Thanks taking us on a walk there. 😊
Impressive how Swedes keep riding their bikes eventhough cold has come.

Congratulations! its like an informal journalism. Its just that sometimes RUclips has more viewers and followers than those news correspondents on TV. Beautiful houses. Wishing too we could see and be there to appreciate the place!
Thanks for the support as always!
Nice to have a walk around a residential area, and a nice neighbourhood it looks like as well.
The pedestrian crossings seem to keep you waiting a long time; they don't seem to give much priority to pedestrians
Yes, exactly. It takes AGES ...at least it feels like that haha
Thank you for a wonderful walk!
So beatiful !
Eylül ayında bu şehre ziyaret edeceğim ve bir arkadaşımla yürüyüşe çıkmış gibi hissettim. Video için teşekkürler. Doğasını sevdim...🙏🏻💐
Thnx ✌️
Lovely willow tree there12:10. 13:00that would make a great haunted mansion.👻

Thanks as usual!
Keep it up bro 😊😊❤️
I loved this video! Such a beautiful neighbourhood! I live in a big UK city but we have very few immigrants living here because we are in the South West and there is no industry here and no jobs other than seasonal jobs linked to the holiday industry. You were either born here - like me - or you're rich enough to buy a second home here for your holidays! It is a beautiful part of Britain but there is very little diversity. There are more jobs in the South East and the more industrial areas of the UK so people move to work there and so London and Birmingham, for example, have far more cultural diversity. It takes generations for immigrants to get a foothold in a new country so there will always be well established "old families" who seem to have more money and status. It's the same the world over.
Could it be the Devon area? I spent my summers in Sidmouth at English school :)
@@andersmalmgren6528 Yes! I live in Plymouth and know Sidmouth well. I'm a bit nearer to Cornwall and it gets crazy every summer with tourists and then dies in the winter!
@@nooshiewest2702 love that part of England, even the weather is better than rest of the country :)
@@andersmalmgren6528 It is. Very mild winters. I would love to see some snow but the last proper snowfall we had in Plymouth was about 5 years ago! There is little distinction between Autumn, Winter and Spring ! My little niece has never seen real snow.
@@nooshiewest2702 i have only been there in the summer :)
Beautiful walk! Some amazing houses in a wonderful setting. At least it’s sunny there today, we have lots of cloud and rain here 🌧 This video has cheered me up- thanks Daniel 🥰
Thanks for visiting
🇸🇪 💛💙
Nice walking with you!
Incredibly beautiful 🌼💛🍁 number one city 🥰 ❤ thank u 🙏
Looks like another beautiful area.
Love the sun shining over the forest trees ~
I would do anything to live here.
I love the opening"New day, new work, new video" Another great video
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@letswalkaroundstockholm Absolutely I watched with fun. Thanks for everything
Where is the snow? Back in the 90's when I lived in Sweden there was alot of snow already.
Global warming 🙄
I grew up around this area. It hasn't changed much, thanks for the nostalgia.
You are welcome
It's beautiful thanks for sharing this !!
My pleasure 😊
Very pretty suburban walk Daniel and I agree with you 100% about the lack of diversity.
It's a protected area you cant build however you like. I like it this way. We don't want new looking buildings in old classical areas. I'm very conservative though :D edit: ah you talk the people not the houses :P
BEAUTIFUL😍😍😍😍
It's amazing place!!! I'm delighted!!! I want to live there!!!
I love this neighborhood in the first of the video
So do i!
Haha you didn't wait for spring :)
haha no i didnt . I was feeling it after i looked on the map. Great suggestion. !
@@letswalkaroundstockholm :) i was afraid you only touched the outer parts when i started watching but it seems you got deeper into the hood :)
@@andersmalmgren6528 Yeah it is a problem i always have wherever i go . It's impossible to do everything. I think the charm of my channel is that it's kinda spontaneous which means i sometimes miss the best parts haha
Very nice. Bro
Thank you so much 😀
make a video clip in other areas, such as valengby 😊
Vällingby i allready made a video
@@letswalkaroundstockholm can you send me a link for your video, please
Mooie plaats met perfect licht
Bedankt weer.
You've been showing a lot of rivers and shoreline, however, nobody's fishing. Is it illegal to do that?????
You do need a license yes , but i think fishing in general is more in summer.
Thank you for Walking.🏠🏛🏬
You are welcome Julia.
Привет из России! Спасибо за видео)
Thanks !!!
Do you mean to say immigrants and Swedes live on separate areas ? As in is it not a mixed culture over there? It is separated like that ?
Correct
We have successful immigrants that can afford suburbs like these, for example from Iran that fled back in the 70s. Still the majority will be ethnic swedes off course.
@@andersmalmgren6528 I mean doesnt sweden allow people to mix? Its segregated in a class structure? Type A live in type A area. Type B live in type B area and so on? Or is it cuz most immigrants cant afford? Which one
@@x8EchoslaM8x haha, no we are a free country :) but a house in Äppelviken cost around 2 million USD and above. Most ethnic swedes also can't afford it. That said. We do have a problem with segregation, we take in too much imigrants and we put them in more or less ghettos were the have very low chance of assimilation into swedish society. Back in the 70s we took in fewer that we could integrate more easily. Plus we talk engineers and doctors. They are pretty easy to integrate :)
@@andersmalmgren6528 Ahhhh! I know what you mean. That made sense. Got a shock back there about this ghetto feeling. Engineers and doctors. Im that. Feel so much better now. Thanks man
