      Though Ray Charles may be talented, he will never compare to Beethoven.

      +François Royal That's like saying Stephan King will never compare to Shakespeare. Why would you even try to compare them? That doesn't mean Stephan King isn't incredibly talented at what he does.

    I think the 'feel good ' factored in strongly, that made this genre more readily accessible to all that took part in its vibrancy. Ray Charles could 'move' the audience to his emotions - a gifted musician too, very few like him today

    Man. I'm in love with this song because of the way he invented the electric piano with this song.
    I jut sbaought a 1959 Wurlitzer piano because pf this song.
    And here, Ray plays the cheesiest approximation of an electric piano
    I guess it doesn't matter what your play.
    IT'S WHAT YOU ARE PLAYING.
    Thanks Ray.

    Ray Charles is performing a concert. He finishes up, the crowd goes wild, but a man walks up to him afterwards and says " That was unbelievable. There's no way a blind man can be that good." Ray looks at him, tips his hat, and says " I don't see your point."

    And on August 3rd, 1959 it reached #1 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart
    Four covered versions have charted; Jerry Lee Lewis {#30 in 1961}, Bobby Darin {#24 in 1962}, Elvis Presley {#21 in 1964}, and Rare Earth {#61 in 1972}

    É impossível ficar parado ouvindo o som deste que sem dúvida, é o "RAY" da Soul Music. Cresci ouvindo as músicas desta "fera" por influencia da minha família, e até hoje, nas nossas reuniões aos finais de semana, é som obrigatório. É o inventor do Samba-Rock.Tenho 64 anos e frequento bailes nos salões da cidade de Sampa, onde se curte música de qualidade como estas por exemplo. Abraços a todos os que curtem e aos que não curtem também.
