In order to reach max level in eldenring, you only need to kill about 338,511,683 boars. Seems like a more effective method of farming then the afk farmers. Yet there so many
Hell, farming Dewkissed Herba in Siofra and then selling it would be quicker, and at least it requires effort. If you reach max level off of Dewkissed Herba, you've earned max level. You've earned every single rune for having such unfathomable patience and determination, for putting in so much effort... unlike a certain other form of rune farming...
Even summoning and fighting reds in most popular invasion zones, either with hunters, or without them, is making more runes, fun and gaining skill. Only practice gives us understanding, how the fuck builds a made. Even though, I'm low skill and playing double bleed falchions, combining it with spears or else, it fun and makes a lot of runes. Still i don't understand the proper way of making a pvp build, what weapons would fit best.

Tried invading for the first time today. The first invasion game crashed when I tried to teleport closer to the target with the fingers the other two invasions were afk farmers (one with a summon) just spamming emotes and spells. Real fun.
as someone who had the blue ring on, after the 4th time getting summoned in a world with no reachable host, i just said fuck it and turned off the ring.
My guess is some of these farmers that are not actually afk are those PvP-hating crowds, which we know do exist. They just want to see invasion enjoyers get mad on the internet. That's just my guess though. And if that's really the case, that's gotta be the goofiest thing I've heard in a while. "I hate invasion, therefore I will lure invaders! Me so smart, good job, me."
I'm so glad these pathetic losers are being hunted. But I have to admit, my favorite invasions of all time are some videos of Prod and Chasethebro winning against hackers in DS3.
Afk farming npc enemies no. Sitting on a building to actively attract and waste invaders time yes. Especially when it's literally the least efficient way to farm.
This has to be a new kind of stream idea prod. Get your viewers to help you invade these if that isn't what already was happening. It shouldn't be too hard because of the taunters tongue then just co-op them lol. It would be absolutely amazing
i did some testing and hunting, and i can say that every region has an area where the invader cannot reach, limgrave has several. but i will not share these locations and i will not afk them because i use relic sword at mohgwyn like an intelligent rune farmer.
Cannon of Haima if you've got the int for it. Hit those whore-sons with a magic mortar, right where it hurts. Make sure to charge your shots. Godspeed, brother.
The tools of the trade are four different weapons: 1: Jar Cannon (Or hand ballista, they're functionally identical) with explosive greatbolts and lightning greatbolts, 2: Giantsflame Fire Pot, these scale super hard with Faith and can do ridiculous amounts of damage 3: Mohgwyn's sacred spear, the weapon art goes through walls and has a huge vertical reach 4: Radahn's swords, again, the weapon art has huge reach and goes through walls, but this one also pulls them towards you, so you can yank them off roofs with it. #1 is mandatory, the rest are for fun. Happy hunting.
I watched some RUclipsr recommend this for Rune farming. Hiding on the roof and keep luring in invaders and Hunter to kill each other. People who do that disgust me, even I could do the jump in the roof, but didn't start the shenanigans. I landed in someone's World even as they were fighting the Tree Sentinal infront of the Chapel you exit in Limgrave at the start of the Game. As an respectable Human being had I not interfered and had them kill it
It's easily the worst rune farming method too, considered you get no more than 1-3k per invader. You could get more by killing a single enemy faster than the time it takes for 3-4 invaders to get into your world and die.
@@ORCANORCA881 Lmao you go to the bird farming spot in mohgywn palace, and take the sacred relic blade and use it's ash of war once and you'll get 50-60k runes without rune gain increases. It's how I make roughly 1m runes per 15 minutes.
As a Blue and a Coop build I completely agree. There are some things we and the reds need to come together on. Killing the glitchers, afk farmers, and RoB spammers.
If you spam dragon incants and swarm of flies during a 1v1 duel, I will pull BH step from my inventory and ROB to ruin your day. If you're one of those people you are also a no skill loser.

Might have to go give this a try, been seeing it happen a lot as a blue at the first step. I’ve tried pointing invaders in the right direction but it might be time for some more direct help.
That last one just kind of makes me sad. Given everything that other people like Scott have mentioned, there's little doubt that guy just bought a Rivers of Blood for a couple of dollars, and then the scammer he bought it from probably told him this "great way to Rune farm" or whatever.
It's always a sad feeling when people would rather spend money instead of playing a game, especially a good one. It's even sadder when he's not even afking, just sitting up, voluntarily wasting his own time.
This reminds me of the days in Dark Souls 3 where Hosts would use a branch in the archives and let the police and red bois kill each other. I spent like 30 minutes hunting down a host and killed like 5 cops (using the npcs on the bridge to Lothric to back me up). Another invader showed up and we finally hunted down and killed the host, who looked like Jesus.
@@FroggeClips After Elden Ring Release, lots of new player doesnt know difference between Invasion and Duel. But yeah, seeing a souls veteran undestand my shield wiggling is something heart warming
Ironically, as scummy as these guys are, they're providing a rare opportunity to see multiple reds in a game at once which doesnt happen too often, without a ton of summons at least. It's interesting to see how things devolve for the host once they lose their little safe space.
I don’t know if I’m wrong or not. But I assume this version of afk rune farming is to use police item, use taunters tongue, hide, and let them kill eachother while you get free runes. Unfortunately for the invaders. Even killing the host means nothing to them. They can just get their runes back and do it again
The invaders/blues don’t even have to fight. If the invader fingers out, the host still gets the runes. The invaders only last so long before they just say fuck it and the host gets the runes anyways. I’ve been having people hiding in liurnia and while I’m fighting blues they’ll chuck spells. Incredibly frustrating
Mostly because its stupid to begin with. They do not even get much unless there are close to level 700. My guess would be that they just wait until people notice how stupid it is. Its so easy to farm runes in this game, but people cant even be bothered to do it themselves

@@peter_griffith522 Yeah people lump all invaders in together into one group and say "you deserve it" whenever anybody who has ever been an invader decides to talk about real issues that exist in the game. As long as if F's over invaders, it's perfectly fine even if it's a hack or legit bug.
Even from have been cucking invaders throughout the series. Ik they say they don’t bend to people when they wanna make the game easier. But in 1. Invasions can happen anytime you’re online and shit. 2. Same thing. 3. They made it to where you’re more likely to invade a host with a phantom. Elden ring. You can only invade hosts with at least one phantom unless they use an item in every new location they go to. It saddens me but it is what it is.
Just had my first encounter as a blue one with an afk farmer...sooo 3 reds & I sat down and did nothing until afk came down. I did nothing until they won & aplauded them. Was a nice fight :)
For anyone worried about people using glitches and exploits in Elden Ring, take it easy. These things always happen, but after the first few months, they get patched out and the lazy people who just want to mash a button and win get bored. Just have patience and, with some help from the community, (Prod doing this and Adam with his mech build) we'll set the record straight again and get those fun fights back.
I really hope so. One of the reasons that rooftop farming is a thing is in response to cheesy and cheater reds invading and one shotting with Carian Retaliation+ Bloodhound Step or just using Cheat Engine for infinite HP.
@@Hustler2_ Sorry, you are incorrect. I was in the Elden Ring Server on Discord, streaming the invasions as they happened, and we have multiple clips of CR and CE use taking place. Roughly 41 out of 50 invaders used it at level 500+ in Agheel Lake North. Also, you can play online without EAC, as someone already pointed out the method to me when I asked how they could use Cheat Engine.
@@Hustler2_ Remember the hackers Malcolm Reynolds and Go To Brazil, they got several players soft-banned with hacks...how do you think they did that if they could only play offline?
@@Qdoggus I've run into more co-op players abusing Carian Retaliation than I had fighting actual invaders. @@Hustler2_ So that's why you were unfamiliar with hackers. You might be under the impression that "nobody invades past the meta", this is also completely false. At my level, if I AFK farm for a couple of hours (not saying that I do), I pick up 30 million+ runes when I come back.
These people seem to lack the basic mental capacity and brainpower to realize the Albinauric farm in the literally, bloody hellscape is THE best rune farm in the entire game.. no invaders to, throw a spanner in the works.. or a cannonball..
You can get there from the Varre quest too, you really just need to kill Godrick is the only significant challenge. Don't know about Albinauric farm, but I do know about shooting the chicken to lure it to death, anybody with a bow can do that, especially with a range boosting talisman.

The amount of footage that is being produced of this kind of invasion is kinda nuts. Who would've thought that nearly two months in ER PvP would've turned into what took years for DS3 to accomplish, except it's a much worse version of it. The satisfaction in dropping these hosts looks dope though. Not enough to heal how miserable the multiplayer mechanics (or lack thereof, rather) are, but still cool.
With all the invasions I've done and all the times I've been invaded I've found there's two types of players who sit out of reach. There are the AFK farmers (who are bastards) and then there are the people who genuinely don't want to fight and are usually pretty close to a grace that the invader is now blocking off or they're in an area with a lot of super hard enemies and want a particularly valuable item. In the latter cases I've found its best to act non hostile and actually let the host accomplish their goal before fighting. Usually they'll grace you with a 1v1 if you do that.
Been chillin in Liurnia doing invasions and being summoned as a hunter, and EVERY time I get summoned as a hunter for one of these little roof-dwelling RATS I point it out for the reds and hang out with them. Ran into 3 afk players in a row. But after seeing you video I attempted to use the jar cannon myself and it worked.

Even though, I'm low skill and playing double bleed falchions, combining it with spears or else, it fun and makes a lot of runes.
Still i don't understand the proper way of making a pvp build, what weapons would fit best.
I just imagine how angry that first guy must be that he lost all his runes without it being recoverable if you dont go there again
There' s an easy way to fix this, just dont let people use taunter's tongue in áreas that cannot be accessed other than using your horse.
perhaps make the tongue a toggle at a bonfire only? That way people can't spend 15 minutes trying to jump up somewhere when they are going to start getting invaded in 5. Just a thought since its easier to ask for something like that than scouring the whole map to create blanket tongue don't work here zones. Seems like a lot of labor.

Hosts were the real villains all along.
