Thanks for watching, let me know if you get it figured out! You can Google the model number for your mower, go to jacks small engines or partstree and they will have a diagram showing where the springs go on the deck.
Seems it would be easier to raise it up, but I have a lift table and at 73 it’s easier on my old life time diesel mechanic back 😮 Hoping you get a better place to work and a lift table 😊❤
@@TheMowerchanicreason is I’m not saleing any thing this year now and we can rebuild mowers all winter and keep us busy, just a lot of investment for me 😢
The 46" 3-blade deck will def out perform both the 46" 2 blade and 42" 2 blade. Too bad this does not have a hydrostatic trans! The belts take a beating on MTD variable pulleys transmissions. It's hard to make money on them if you have to put any money in parts into them. Esp if they are not new and shine. But, as a unit for your own yard, that is a great find or if you are selling it to a buddy.
Yes a hydrostatic trans would have been great! Luckily the pulley itself was still good. I should still be able to double my money, but we will see. Thanks for watching!
I genuinely try to fix all the craftsmen except the plastic trans ones, I Robb engine and deck
The older craftsmen are the best 😊😊
Also my deck does not have the double stack pulley that yours does but still the video helps in figureing where the springs might go.
I can tell by watching you work you have a lot of experience doing mechanic work for sure, you’re not a shade tree at all
I would hire you for sure 👍
Thanks so much, love to hear that!
When you were putting the deck back together probably showed me where one of those 3 springs go on my 42" deck.I'll see this morning. Very good video.

@@TheMowerchanicI buy a lot from parts tree because there in Texas and faster service 😊😊😊
Paint is the best investment in used mowers as far as sales goes, that’s what most people want is good looking equipment 😊
Agreed most pieces I buy don't need much paint if at all
Briggs and scrapm!

Definitely would be helpful! I appreciate that :)
Since I never know how long it will set after fixing I brush the inside deck with used motor oil 😊
smart!
